Giga great music soup, would reocgmend
despite the gameplay being an upgrade from the first, this is kind of terrible? definitely don't recommend this one, but if you love everhood 1 as much as i do, it might be worth a shot, if only just to gawk at all the horrifically bizarre decisions made here
So many reviews heavily weight the lower quality of story and character development in this sequel, which is fair, but I think slightly overstated. The story and characters are worse than the first game, but the gameplay is a lot better, and the music is nearly as good. Overall, I would say this game is slightly worse than the first because the story and characters are a lot of what made the first game so memorable and engaging, but I'm not going to say it's a bad game that I wouldn't recommend. It just lost some of its charm. Also, the achievements in this game were far more fair and enjoyable to unlock, besides the returning Incinerator-like achievement (although it was way easier because it's not no-hit and some parts can be cheesed). 7.2/10
This game was truly a disappointment after the first game. I was a huge fan of Everhood 1, and it's still one of my favorite games, but this game seems to have taken most of the bad and very little of the good from the first one. The soundtrack of this game is pretty good, and the character designs are at least interesting still, but the game lacks any sense of connection or development with any of the characters. Everything is confusing and lacks any sort of direction, with everything being done solely for the sake of inching closer to the end of the game. It's fine to have a game where your path is unclear, and things are strange and wacky, as long as you do it correctly. The first game did this great, the characters were interesting, the battles were engaging, and even in moments where I was confused, there was a sense of awe/wonder rather than a sense of irritation and monotony. Even though the combat system is more fleshed out in this game, all of these flaws made it so that playing this game was the one thing I can't really forgive a game for being: utterly boring. If anyone is craving a dose of the intriguing world of Everhood after the first game and is considering getting the second just to see if it can scratch that itch - don't. You're better off just replaying the first game.
This is a great game. It's bewildering and confusing but, by the end of it, those feelings contributed to the impact of the experience overall in a positive way. If you go into this with an open mind and without expectations based on your experience with the original, I think you'll enjoy it. I also have to give extra kudos for one of the absolute coolest implementations of mod support I've ever seen. If the game was only a vehicle for its fan creations, it would still be worth the price of admission, in my opinion.
pensei q ia entregar mais, porém... é um jogo ja feito daora
this game is so amazing i lost disturbing amounts of sleep to play it. its very different from everhood 1 but in my opinion its still just as great
It has more battles and stuff than Everhood 1 but the first game had a much nicer story and felt more like a cohesive experience. That game made me think and feel. This just kind of feels like a random bunch of events thrown together without anything making sense, even at the end of the game. Fine if you just want battles but I didn't really like it that much.
