Eternity's Child

[h1]Summary[/h1] Eternity's Child is an unfinished platformer with janky controls. Don't buy it (I usually write longer reviews, but there literally is nothing more to say about this "game"). [h1]Pros and cons[/h1] +/- Art style +/- Music and sound - Unfinished and abandoned game - Clunky controls, floaty jumping, imprecise movement - Flimsy, incomprehensible story - Bad level design (you often don't see where you're supposed to go, so you have to rely on leaps of faith, causing many insta-deaths) - Bad enemy design (often starting to fire at you from somewhere off-screen, appearing out of nowhere, or just sitting there for you to do some target practice) [h1]Verdict[/h1] Don't buy this.

I was probably one of the people who hated this when it came out, but I replayed it today and... Sure it's a bit janky, but I seriously can't fathom how this game got to be one of the most hated games of it's time. Eternity's Child biggest mistake was being one of the first indie games on Steam, nothing else.

Game was left unfinished. Litterally only contains chapter 1.

If you're a video game historian I'd like to direct you to this game because it was unquestionably the first "early access" scam game on Steam, long before early access was even a thing. Not only is it genuinely just an awful game with painfully bad controls and levels that feel like they were designed completely at random with zero playtesting, but we were promised that this was the first chapter out of three, and that the game would be updated with the next two totally free of charge. Guess what never happened? This game is not worth a single penny. This is a not a "so bad that it's good" game. You will not find anything about it ridiculous or amusing. At best you will be bored, but more likely you will be frustrated. Do not buy this game under any circumstances.

Well let me say EVERYONE has this wrong maybe even the developers ... this is a awesome coop game for 2 people i use the controler and my child uses the mouse see those 2 characters in the screens well one is controled with the gamepad move and jump and the other follows along but has the ability to shoot with the mouse ... i guess it could be controled by one person but its much and still be a ok game but and here is the good part why not play it as a coop game and enjoy those moments with your child the controlds are good split between 2 people and the gfx like everyone says in there reviews are great do i recommend this YES I DO
