Escape From Mystwood Mansion

Escape From Mystwood Mansion ist wirklich ein tolles Spiel und hat mir von Anfang bis Ende viel Spaß gemacht. Die Rätsel sind unterhaltsam, die Atmosphäre passt und es macht Spaß, sich Stück für Stück durch das Anwesen zu arbeiten und herauszufinden, wie alles zusammenhängt. Natürlich ist nach dem Durchspielen größtenteils die Luft raus. Wenn man die Rätsel und Lösungen einmal kennt, gibt es für mich persönlich kaum einen Grund für einen zweiten Durchgang. Aber das ist bei einem solchen Rätselspiel auch völlig in Ordnung. Die Spielzeit, die man bis dahin bekommt, hat mich definitiv gut unterhalten und darauf kommt es am Ende an. Wer gerne rätselt und Escape-Room-Spiele mag, kann hier bedenkenlos zugreifen. Klare Empfehlung!

A nice puzzle experience with a little replay value.

I have to give it a negative review. I can't believe a game like this coming out in 2023 only saves once you finish a room. You can spend an hour in a room, get stuck, decide to go to bed, and the next morning you have to start the room from scratch, you get stuck at the same spot after 20 minutes of redoing everything you did the night before, you then have to close the game to go to work, you get back at the end of the day and you have to start the room AGAIN from scratch. The game could be good, but I really can't recommend it in its current state.

A very fun but short little adventure with puzzles that actually make sense and are not abstract to the point, where you have no clue what the devs were trying to cook. The art style and soundtrack get the job done and the secret ending actually made me smile a bit. My two negative points with the game are the following: The price is a little steep for the gametime, as a playthrough takes around 3-3,5 hours and you can 100% it in less than 4 hours. Checkpoints are extremely rare and only appear after you finish an entire level. It would have been better to implement 2-3 save points during the levels as well. The use of AI is unnoticeable and people hate on it just because, though I agree that it should be disclosed before buying. Other than that, it's a very solid 7,5 for me and I'd recommend it, especially when it's on sale.
