Okay so I got this game as a joke, because I had some steam cash saved for no reason, I am writing this review to pinpoint my views on this game. Pros: Easy, simple mechanics. Jump, Attack, Run, Etc Cons: Game is all free models, game is sloppy, no death animation for the player or enemies, no entry into game (you just spawn on a building with rising lava) no story to the game, huge jump delay, bug with the cars in the beginning where if you just run straight into them they move with you, Description says that zombies chase you, yeah no zombies in this game, just standing still lava monsters that attack you when you get too close, etc. They're are so many bugs for this developer to help fix this game, but honestly, just don't even bother with it. This game is ultimately trash.
Merhaba. Great game for the price, I loved the music it really lift my spirits during tough times. I feel it has huuugee speedrun potential and a bright future if the dev fixes bug and add checkpoint xD Dear dev, please continue developing this game and make it best as you can be I love the Turkish humour in the game, such as lore accurate representation of Ankara and sudden death. Keep at it, great first game. Merhaba.
Goated game. Very good and fun.
Escape From Lava, developed and published by Muhammet Bayrakci, is a compact survival platformer built around a single, relentless idea: keep climbing or be consumed. The game drops players into a collapsing urban environment where molten lava steadily rises from below, turning every second into a race against time. It is a concept that immediately creates tension, and the game commits fully to that sense of urgency without layering on unnecessary complexity. From the very beginning, the objective is clear and direct, pushing players to focus entirely on movement, awareness, and quick decision-making. The gameplay centers on vertical traversal, with players navigating buildings, debris, and narrow pathways while the environment beneath them becomes increasingly dangerous. Jumping between platforms and finding the most efficient routes upward form the core of the experience, and the rising lava ensures that hesitation is rarely an option. This constant pressure gives the game a strong sense of momentum, as players are always being pushed forward by the threat below. Even simple jumps can become tense when there is no room for error, and the shrinking safe space amplifies the stakes as the climb progresses. Adding to the challenge are roaming enemies scattered throughout the environment. These hostile encounters force players to remain cautious even as they try to move quickly, creating a balance between speed and awareness. While the enemies do not introduce deep combat systems, they serve as effective obstacles that can disrupt movement and create moments of panic. Their presence prevents the game from feeling like a purely mechanical climbing exercise, although their limited variety and behavior can make encounters feel repetitive over time. The movement mechanics themselves are straightforward, making the game easy to pick up, but they demand precision under pressure. Timing jumps and maintaining control in tight spaces become increasingly important as the lava rises and available paths narrow. The simplicity of the controls works in the game’s favor early on, allowing players to quickly understand the basics, but the lack of additional mechanics or evolving systems means that the gameplay remains largely unchanged from start to finish. The challenge comes from execution rather than from learning new abilities or strategies. Visually, Escape From Lava adopts a modest 3D style that prioritizes clarity over detail. The city setting is functional and recognizable, providing a believable backdrop for the climbing challenge without drawing too much attention away from the gameplay. The lava itself is the most striking visual element, serving as both a constant threat and a clear indicator of urgency. Its steady rise reinforces the central tension of the game, even if the rest of the environment lacks variety or polish. The audio design is minimal but effective in supporting the experience. Sound effects provide feedback for movement, environmental hazards, and enemy interactions, helping players stay aware of what is happening around them. Background audio remains subtle, maintaining focus on the gameplay rather than creating a strong atmospheric presence. While it does not stand out as a major feature, it fulfills its role without becoming distracting. In terms of structure, the game is relatively short and linear, with a single primary objective of reaching the top and escaping. This focused design keeps the experience concise, but it also limits replay value. Once players become familiar with the layout and successfully complete the climb, there is little variation to encourage repeated attempts beyond improving performance or speed. The game feels more like a contained challenge than a system designed for long-term engagement. Overall, Escape From Lava delivers a clear and intense gameplay loop that revolves around urgency, precision, and constant forward motion. Its strength lies in how effectively it uses a simple concept to create tension, making each climb feel like a race against an unavoidable threat. However, its limited depth, repetitive elements, and short length prevent it from evolving into something more substantial. It works best as a brief, focused experience that offers a satisfying challenge without demanding a significant time investment. Rating: 6/10

While there are some things that def need addressing this game was a lot of fun. I hope the creator tweaks some of the things that need tweaking and this could be a super solid game for anyone. https://youtu.be/vVxB_SvJSBU?si=ERtK9hUxOkdu2YIC
