For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
While the game and plot feel pretty derivative of the original two Paper Mario games, the execution is tight and they put just enough of a spin on things for it to feel fresh. Overall I enjoyed my time here.
This was a lot of fun - definitely scratched the same itch as the first two Paper Mario games. You've got timed attacks, colorful partners with different abilities, equipable badge-like thingees. Makes a bunch of references to different literature and fairy tales. These replace the Mario characters and help to build a more cohesive world. I really don't have much to complain about other than that some of the enemies and bosses felt a little bit underbaked. There's a world later on where it's pretty much just a long string of battles in a row with only a little bit of variation. Eventually it has you do some puzzle solving, so there are breaks in there, but I was feeling a bit fatigued by the end of that one. Fortunately it has you hopping from book to book and you never quite know where you're going to end up and what you'll be doing. That helps keep things fun all the way through. I beat the game on normal and it was a decent challenge at parts. I might come back and play it on Hard Mode at some point, though I could also see myself just shelving it. No regrets playing through though.

It's weird, what I played was good, but I feel some things aren't hitting. This game is close to hitting the mark, it's somewhat near the bullseye but It never scores. I HATE the 2 party system, I know that's what paper mario ttyd did, but just because that game did it doesn't mean every game inspired by it has to do that too. Bug Fables had it so good. It pains me, I wish I liked this game more than I do but I can't. Tell you what though, concept is sick. Though parts with how they handled it could be not liked. Music is super nice I love jazz but I would like that there would be more than ONE battle theme. Of course, bosses exist, but I mean overworld fights. The theme of the last area specifically was spectacular for what I enjoy. Difficulty is perfect, I always love when devs give options for adjusting difficulty I'll always appreciate the option. Characters can be hit or miss, like Flyn. How does everyone but him get something cool when the guy's the main character who ISN'T a silent protagonist. I see common complaint ch3 is too much fighting back to back but personally I liked that it was, it's not so much it's annoying but I agree it hinders the pace. I wanted a bunch-of-fights section but placing it there maybe wasn't the best. I'm mixed on the story. Other than character's it's the highlight. Overall, pretty good, not more. Kinda too faithful to paper mario in terms of gameplay, a real criticism I have. It didn't have as many unique ideas in that aspect as I would have liked but not to say it had none. Flaws are very much there, but at least the positives are good enough to not make the weaknesses soo in your head all day. Tldr: Good, but play Bug fables instead. If you have, it'll be good enough but don't raise expectations.
Excellent game, really enjoyed playing this. I've never played Paper Mario so I was new to the genre/format but really loved it. Achievements manageable as well, played in Hard mode from the start and even then it didn't seem overly difficult. Most tedious moment was when I realised I had missed researching an enemy on the 80th floor of the stairs so had to go through it again! Really sweet story and compelling characters. Hope for a sequel!
Yes
It's cute, and there are a ton of nods and reference points for those of us who have spent time in the corporate world to be like "ah, yep." The art is fun and the team is a good mix of ridiculous and tactical. It's great that it builds over time so you can get used to character talents and how they work together. (Wolfgang is my favorite. Bless that lovely pup.) It's too long, though; the last two boss fights were at least two too many and I felt like the game itself was starting to be the 100 Levels challenge (I made it to level 60 on that and gave up because it was just repetitive). Since the fight formulas don't vary, each new boss is more a matter of endurance than discovery. I kept thinking of how "The Plucky Squire" was just better at this. So yes, recommend because it is cute, and the side quests are lovely and there's a lot to explore. But it fell to its own trope-iness in trying to stuff so many different pieces into the same formula. I understand how Flynt and Tinder feel on that one.
9/10. combat for me personally feels a bit weak. such as even the enemies form the first and even second chapter feel like im still weak. usually enemies after leveling up and equiping "badges" that make you stronger. will take more than one turn. but the me personally i still enjoyed it and i actually think on my next move when it came to bosses. and i was on normal difficulty.
