The heroine of this game was not lucky to meet with the thief when she came to work in a non-working day. Now she is tied up and she needs to find a way to free.

The game has been censored after the release. Shame on the dev. And the controls are awful. 3 hop and the girl is almost fainting ? Seriously...
I would not pay the full price for the game, it is a fun challenge and a good game to get on sale if you can. note: the game is advertised to have "nude elements" that it does not have.
Game says nothing about being time sensitive..after like 30 seconds of moving her body. I hear a heart beat sounds then can't move her anymore and forced to restart level multiple times that BS
Wonderful, the girl is gorgeous, and the playability is nice. I didnt sleep for 2 nights until i finished it. Does someone passed the last level with legs tied? I think is impossible. By the way, how many haircuts are there? i wanted to see her with less clothes and more ropes, like a chest and hips harness. Finally, i´m so mad with that sexy thieft that it would be a nice character to play with :) By the way, when legs tied and jumping forward, there is a little backwards, i think its a glitch. Thank you.
Good game
Save you money and buy Escape from ghosts instead. That game is much better
Not bad for 4 bucks, if you like physics game and hot chicks. The game has no nudity but the model is sexy.
Why remove adult setting bad game
ok, was fun, untill fun features was removed by developers.
Escape: Forced Overtime - Sexy kinetic puzzle
Not many in-depth reviews exist of this game, so here is mine.
TL;DR
+ Delightful QWOP-inspired kinetic puzzle rage game. + Sexy, appropriate theme with an immersive experience. + Stunning graphics for a small indie production. + Brilliant interpretation of the tactile sense within a visual medium. + Random custom scenarios for replayability. 0 Niche game, not for everyone. Most likely you'll either love it or hate it. - Short, approximately 10-12 hours to 100% completion. - Lacks the final 5% of (nail?) polish.
Overview
Escape: Forced Overtime is a unique physics-based bondage game, which makes you play as the tied-up girl. The game deliciously subverts the damsel-in-distress trope, and carries a surprisingly feminist undercurrent, as the whole point is to actively free yourself via gymnastic deeds any action hero would be proud of. This is a rage game, which is particularly appropriate for the theme. Simply opening a door and entering the next room becomes a massive endeavor that will require careful maneuvering and likely several attempts over the next two or three minutes. The main strength of the game is in the realtime, physics-based ragdoll gameplay. When the character is lying down on the floor, the player controls her individual joints with a QWOP-inspired control scheme. The controls become second nature after a couple of hours, which then (mostly) leads to believable character motion, enhancing immersion, but sadly melting away some of the difficulty. Some levels do not let the player character to stand up at all. To open a door, the player has to hit the handle with a carefully aimed swing of the character's feet. From a gameplay perspective, I found these levels the most satisfying to clear.
Length
The game is pretty short. Budget 5-6 hours for the campaign, and another 5-6 hours to reach 100% completion (all unlockables obtained). After that, the custom mode remains occasionally entertaining, as this game fills a unique niche. I would love to see a sequel.
Game modes and level layouts
There is no overarching story. In my opinion, this is the right choice in a gameplay-focused game. The game starts with a campaign, which doubles as a well thought-out tutorial, for a total of 38 missions. Most missions are short, with the longest ones max 20 minutes each. Completing the campaign unlocks the custom mode with configurable random scenarios. The custom mode offers a nice extra difficulty option: a blindfold. While there are a couple of blindfolded missions in the campaign, what really shines is "Effect 2" in custom mode. This requires the character to actually touch walls and obstacles before the game registers them as detected by the player. This is a brilliant interpretation of the tactile sense within a visual medium. As an acceptable break from reality, even then the game always indicates where the goal is. The custom mode works well, but its spawn points ultimately lack variety. Sometimes a custom scenario is unwinnable. I am not sure if this is intentional, or a bug. There are three level layouts, called scenes. Starting in a single conference room, we then see a complete office spanning a whole floor of a skyscraper, and finally a scifi design with cramped corridors, elevation changes (stairs), and raised doorsteps. Each scene features multiple start and finish points, with different ones used in different campaign missions, and random ones used in custom mode.
Thoughts on gameplay
The character has limited stamina. If she overexerts herself, she will take a break to catch her breath, during which she can barely move. I think this is great for immersion. She may also become dizzy, if she rolls on the floor too long in one go, or if she hits her head. There is no damage; the only penalty is a short break. This fits the game well. A few missions feature a timed challenge in the form of a time bomb. While a standard damsel in distress meme, this may be off-putting to some people. Personally for me, the bomb missions turned a frustrating, but relaxing kinetic puzzle into a panic simulator, which was not that enjoyable. Two boss missions (26 and 38) feature stealth against a wandering thief character who will capture the player again if detected, and make it harder to escape again. The thief has a gun to threaten the main character with, which may also be off-putting to some people. The danger of being caught adds excitement, but I enjoyed the regular levels more. The rest of the levels, including the custom mode, have no danger and no time limit, with the physics puzzle itself as the only obstacle. In my opinion, this game never needed anything else, except perhaps some more inconveniently positioned office furniture of both the static and kickable varieties. There are some minor issues. With enough momentum, the character can end up in an anatomically impossible pose. Controls are not remappable. Especially, the interact (E) and respawn (R) buttons are too close to each other, which becomes a problem when you need to hit E quickly to open a door as the character's feet swing by the handle. The stamina limit is not configurable. I'd have loved to try playing a character who runs out of breath more easily. Regarding starting positions for the player character, there are some puzzling omissions. Mission 37 starts with a chairtie with legs crossed, which is not available for custom scenarios, except by abusing a bug. Also, there is no hogtie with legs crossed, and no chairtie leading to a hogtie when the character frees herself from the chair. This is a game that screams for speedrunning, but there is no clock. Still, the gameplay is unreasonably addictive. Especially being forced to solve a whole level while lying on the floor, the experience is very unique, with a level of gameplay ingenuity in my opinion matching that of Portal (2007), Mirror's Edge (2008), or even Kerbal Space Program (2015). Titles like these remind me of why, after all these years, I still keep gaming.
Unlockables
There are some character customization options, which unlock by completing enough levels, and a bonus secret challenge in one of the campaign missions, completing which yields one final unlockable.
Visuals
Stunning for a small indie production. A GTX 960m is too slow even at Low graphics (~15-20 FPS), whereas an RTX 3070 Ti (laptop) is fine at Epic (60 FPS). Some minor issues. Sometimes the camera clips when near an obstacle, and looking out the window in scene 2, there is no street level, the buildings just end in mid-air. Texture resolution must be set to Epic to avoid visible black seams at the player character's shoulders. Effects must be set to at least High to see the out-of-breath and dizzy states.
Sounds
Appropriate, but repetitive. The player character only has two grunt sound effects. The background music is wonderfully cheesy. Likewise in the bomb and boss levels, the music is appropriately oppressive.
Verdict
This is a niche title. The attractions are the ragdoll gameplay, and the rage-inducing frustration that deliciously matches the game's theme. And yes, obviously also the fact that the player character is a woman. But so are Aloy, Lara, Chell, and Faith. Unlike the store description says, the game does not feature nudity, as that feature was removed in an update. Personally I don't care. You can still strip her to her underwear if you prefer that. Recommended if you are into BDSM, and specifically into the tied-up secretary meme. Recommended also if enjoy intentionally clumsy, rage-inducing physics-based games, such as Human Fall Flat, or Wobbly Life. To conclude, this is a well-executed niche title. For its target audience, the game delivers, and that is what ultimately matters.
