Reviews
This game has quite an interestin story. It revolves around us (a robot) figuring out why he does what he does. All while figuring this out we run into another being. This causes us to question things. While doin' such we have to maintain a research facility. Solid graphic style and atmosphere. I'd have liekd to hear voice overs but alas. Readin' isn't too bad here. Not a bad experience for the price. Gameplay Impressions: https://youtu.be/PXj41cj620o
LuN never fails to amaze! With beautiful visuals, a hauntingly eerie atmosphere and chilling sounds. The game is set underwater and feels like an RPG twist on Bioshock with a dulling isolating drone, and existentialism and pops a reoccurring question of purpose and idealism for a psychological creepy atmosphere. Well worth the very small price tag for a little adventure with multiple endings!

a neat little game with gorgeous visuals! seems like it's got a few hidden things I've yet to find too :)
The game was really nice, and there’s a lot to uncover! It might be slow, but it’s perfect to play while watching videos, and it fits the purpose of the story. I got the game for free but bought the artbook to support the developer.
I enjoyed this latest instalment from LuN. The visuals, the music the setting were all on point. I got the obvious ending, and then went back and tried for other endings and whilst found some things like day 666 and the shadow of the fish i couldn't seem to find anything else of note. I did kind of wish that the other endings/hidden parts were a little more easy to find, or that you were forced more to make choices on which stations couldnt survive but the resources always seemed fairly plentiful. BUT all that aside i would really recommend people check this out and hopefully you find things that I didn't https://youtu.be/_TEf66YU-3Y?si=DzqUwiQ2fOAb8Cmm
Forgot to leave a review months ago, never got to finish the game, the last segment was hard but am a fan of LuN's work, it looks really well and deserves more recognition
Pros: I liked the look of it, the musics ok, the atmosphere and sound designs pretty nice, makes want to see what's at the end of the mystery. I also like that I want to know more about the lore Cons: You can't run, making the repetitive nature of the game loop annoying and I'm pretty certain it's also made this way to pad out the run time. Too many missed golden oppourtunities narrative wise. Final thoughts There's a fail state/conditions or decisions that end with a "game over" screen at least, so you CAN technically lose but you have to actually plan to lose. It' feels like a game made in a 24hr videogame jam challenge. A gripping rpg this is not, and calling it a survival game is misleading because there's the expectation, the trailer and then what you actually play. $2.00 is steep considering I've experienced far more for far less here on Steam with games like Franzen and Moon River for example. If the Dev hopes to get this game out there to possibly warrant or fund a sequel or possible remake Esca should go for nothing over .99cents, not because it's particularly bad, it's just one pretty good but well worn lovecraftian concept with a conclusion you see coming from a Mile away. I appreciate how this ends, but it was extremely underwhelminf, there was so much more it could have done with the narrative to justify the slow pace. I can't recommend for now.
