You wake up as Sarah in an old run down cabin deep in the woods. Bloodstains everywhere, and a chilling silence that screams danger. Trapped and desperate, you must escape before whoever brought you here returns.
The Coffin of Sarah is a 2D pixel-art horror game focused puzzle-solving and survival. You’ll solve environmental puzzles to unlock new areas, uncover disturbing secrets, and stay one step ahead of the creatures hiding in the dark. You can try to hide but running may be your only option when something unnatural starts hunting you.
Gameplay Features:
Top-down pixel horror with a heavy emphasis on a spooky atmosphere and cryptic storytelling.
Search for hidden items, cryptic notes, and disturbing visuals to help progress the story.
Interact with your environment to find keys, clues, and story-triggering objects.
Light-based mechanics: use a flashlight to navigate pitch-black areas, and reveal the secrets that are hiding in the dark.
Escape sequences where you must run from threats.
Environmental and logic-based puzzles that block your progress until solved.
Player choices that influence future chapters and contribute to multiple possible endings.
The game is being released in a chapter-based format. Chapter One is currently in development and includes the full playable area. More interactable objects and events are being added to foreshadow what’s to come in Sarah’s journey.
The full game is planned to span five to six chapters. As the story progresses, each chapter will increase in length and complexity. Once complete, The Coffin of Sarah is expected to offer 4–6 hours of gameplay.
