In this platformer, you play as Erandique, a man driven by revenge after a tiger killed his father. Years later, you set out to track the beast while also helping nearby villages. Controls are straightforward: move left or right, jump (with a wall-jump by holding the jump button), and swing your axe to attack. While gamepad support exists, it’s incomplete since attacking and interacting aren’t possible, so you’ll need to rely on the keyboard. Progress is tied to quests. You speak to villagers to accept tasks and activate signposts that lead to new areas. These signposts only appear after accepting a quest. Main levels are selected from a world map but must be completed in a linear order, with the next stage unlocking only after finishing all missions in the current one. The main objective in each stage is to assist the local village. Villagers with quests have an exclamation mark above them when you approach, but there’s no on-screen quest tracker. You can only hold one quest at a time, so you must remember the instructions yourself. This often means talking to everyone in town to find your next objective. Mission areas lock you in until you finish the goal, most often collecting certain items. These areas are small and linear, with no collectibles or branching paths, so exploration is minimal. Once the objective is met, a “mission complete” message appears, and a signpost opens at the stage’s end. The overall experience is simple and low-pressure. While enemies and hazards are present, the gameplay is forgiving. Enemies do not respawn or heal unless you leave the stage. This also works with bosses, so you can beat everything regardless of your skill level. Even if you lose all your health, you simply respawn nearby or at the start of the stage without losing any progress.
