Epic Zombies? More like "Epic Asset Flip"!
I normally make an in-game style post about my time playing the game here. Instead, we're gonna focus on one fact: Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggg... Epic Zombies is a title touted as the next zombie survival game. The game touts itself as having features such as a crafting and building system, environment harvesting system, and, of course, zombies! However, the game does absolutely nothing well and instead is a full asset flip. Pros: -Cheap: The game is normally priced at $1 USD, and is on sale as of this review for $0.69. What a steal! Cons: -Overpriced: This game is definitely overpriced for the amount of work that has gone into it. It's an asset flip built using various UE store assets, and the base template is the Survival Game Kit V2 from Defuse Studios. If you take a moment to go look up that particular template, you'll find the dev has made little to no changes to the actual template. -Poor optimization: I have an i9-14900k CPU and an RTX 4090 card. This game, on the lowest settings, was barely hitting 15 FPS in certain zones. This game is as poorly optimized as they come. -Very unfinished: While the dev is clear this is in early access, this game appears to have had minimal work done on it before being released. There is absolutely no hit detection or animations, making it impossible to tell if you're being hit or if you're hitting enemies. In addition, I'm not actually sure it's possible to kill zombies. When trying to hit them with an axe, I died long before my zombie foe did. I would try with a gun, but the dev appears to have not implemented the ability to reload weapons. Overall, avoid this game like the plague. I'd normally maybe say it might be worth picking up just for a few giggles, but I'm sure there are much better ways to use a dollar.
Good Game!

I will support this dev. The game is rough right now though. I will always give the small devs a good chance, in hopes that one day my game will be available! Roughness aside, I just could not find enough water, the water drains to quickly. and eating berries for water is a full time job.
purely on what the game is currently it will be a negative ,but there is potential the developer is from south Africa witch is rare so based on that and being from the same country I will support the dev
