Finally I can play this game. Nice work RosePortal Games.
Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals is a fantasy role-playing game developed by RosePortal Games and published by Aldorlea Games that fully embraces retro RPG traditions while mixing them with humor, self-awareness, and a clear appreciation for classic adventure design. Built as a tribute to older Japanese-inspired role-playing games, it delivers an experience centered around exploration, party progression, turn-based combat, and a lighthearted story that often balances fantasy adventure with playful comedy. Rather than trying to modernize every genre convention, the game leans into nostalgia and creates an experience designed for players who appreciate classic role-playing foundations. The central premise revolves around an adventure involving legendary crystals and a growing threat that must be confronted before disaster spreads further across the world. While the setup follows recognizable fantasy storytelling traditions, the writing regularly introduces humor that keeps the experience from becoming overly serious. The game enjoys playing with familiar RPG concepts, occasionally poking fun at genre traditions while still delivering a genuine fantasy journey underneath its comedic tone. This balance between humor and adventure becomes one of its stronger qualities. What makes Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals particularly interesting is how openly it celebrates independent RPG culture. Characters from various independent role-playing projects make appearances throughout the adventure, creating moments that feel rewarding for players familiar with smaller RPG communities. These crossover inclusions help give the world additional personality and reinforce the feeling that the game exists as both a standalone adventure and a tribute to the broader independent RPG scene. Exploration serves as a major component of progression. Players travel through multiple regions filled with dungeons, enemies, treasures, and optional discoveries. The structure remains rooted in traditional RPG design philosophy, encouraging players to investigate environments carefully while building stronger characters through battle experience and equipment upgrades. Dungeon progression becomes especially important as difficulty gradually increases, rewarding preparation and thoughtful party development. Combat follows familiar turn-based principles but includes additional mechanics that help create more engagement during battles. Special abilities and combat systems encourage players to think beyond basic attacks while providing opportunities to optimize performance. Timing elements attached to stronger abilities introduce additional interaction that helps encounters feel more active than simpler turn-based systems. These mechanics do not radically reinvent traditional combat design, but they add enough variation to keep progression enjoyable. Party composition also becomes an important part of long-term strategy. Different characters contribute unique strengths, creating opportunities for experimentation when building teams. Equipment choices, skill development, and combat preparation gradually become more important as stronger enemies appear. The progression systems remain approachable while offering enough flexibility to reward players who enjoy optimizing character builds. Crafting and item progression add another layer of depth. Players are not limited entirely to equipment found through exploration, allowing preparation and resource management to play larger roles during progression. These systems support the larger adventure without overwhelming players with excessive complexity. Visually, Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals embraces retro-inspired presentation with confidence. The game uses colorful environments, classic sprite work, and nostalgic fantasy design that feels intentionally connected to older role-playing traditions. Rather than competing with modern visual spectacle, it focuses on creating charm through familiarity. Fans of classic fantasy RPG aesthetics will likely appreciate the commitment to that style. The soundtrack and atmosphere also contribute positively to the experience. Fantasy role-playing games often depend heavily on music to support exploration and progression, and the game successfully creates an adventurous tone that complements both quieter moments and major encounters. Combined with the humor and lighter storytelling approach, the presentation helps maintain a welcoming atmosphere across the entire journey. The game does carry limitations tied to its commitment to traditional design philosophy. Players looking for heavily cinematic storytelling, highly modern combat systems, or large-scale technical presentation may find aspects of the experience more old-fashioned than expected. Random encounters and classic progression structures remain central parts of the design, which may not appeal equally to every audience. However, Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals succeeds precisely because it understands its identity. RosePortal Games clearly built an RPG aimed at players who enjoy traditional fantasy adventures filled with exploration, character building, and nostalgic charm. Rather than chasing trends, it focuses on delivering an experience that celebrates classic role-playing fundamentals while adding enough personality to stand comfortably on its own. The result is a fantasy adventure that feels sincere, enjoyable, and full of appreciation for older RPG traditions. While it may not dramatically reinvent the genre, it delivers a memorable independent adventure supported by humor, rewarding exploration, and classic role-playing design that longtime fans will likely find easy to appreciate. Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals (2015, разработчик — RosePortal Games, издатель — Aldorlea Games) — JRPG в духе классических 16‑битных игр.
Análisis de \Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals\: ¿Epicidad o Epic Fail?

Efectos5Olvidables.
