Very bad optimization
Not overly negative review but this game feels shallow. NPCs are pointless and just an annoyance, exploration and fighting is tedious. The whole shroud mechanic is based on timer. If your main mechanic is bloody timer, something is not right. Game is not bad but it is trying to do very much but fails to do anything above average. Only building mechanic is good but even then you need to progress quite far to start building cool stuff.
If you're used to a regular RPG control scheme on any other similar RPG with a gamepad controller, then the controls on this will be absolute trash. Not even worth to see if it is even possible to re-bind because every single button is so bad put that I personally have no patience to fix the whole horrendous control scheme. The other way around would be trying to get used to it, which I did, and spent hours trying to build a home just to blow the fk it down accidentally and fkin lost all of those hours. Turns out that random mobs can drop explosives, they go straight to the action bar and if you're not specifically taking care not to blow your house off, which was definitively not my case, you might eventually simply drop the stupid grenade and explode all your hours of building off. not even a single button to reverse the savefile, just the feeling I could have had more fun spending those hours in fkin connecting my peepee to the outlet instead. And I'm a guy who always adapt to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller schemes, but it is so fking easy to brick your hard work that those little details tilted me the fk out of this trash. Sad I can't ask for a refund at this point.
tbh i really liked this game, BUT... why still no controller vibration feedback after so many updates???!!!!! seeing nobody even mentioned about this make me wonder am i the only one that even care about this????? to me this is the most important reason why i switched to controller in the first place!! i just dont understand why some recent games still gave no ♥♥♥♥ about such important thing that really hugely affect gaming experience??!!!! been hoping and waiting eagerly for every major updates and DISAPPOINTED every times.. so ya, i hope u will FINALLY add it into 1.0 releases and i will change this to upvote for sure, unless u fk up something else seriously...
I would not recommend this game. My wife and I bought this to play together and both experienced frequent crashes and stutters. The combat felt really jerky and unreliable. As a fan of the souls games I figured I'd like this game more but it feels like its trying really hard to be dark souls 2 and vahleim but it feels like I ordered them off of temu instead of amazon. Every character I've seen has this weird squat hobbit-like appearance. Not to mention the building is janky to a level that causes frustration. I'll somehow end up with weird gaps everywhere. I wish I could have tried it for free before I wasted money on it, or had a quicker trigger finger on the refund. My bad for honestly trying to enjoy such a bad game. I cant think of many games that had a grappling hook that I didn't like.
Been playing since almost day 1 and i gotta say this is one of the most fun and visually stunning games ive played in awhile! Either playing solo or with a couple of friends its always a good time! So much to explore and do and alot of cool user made worlds, If your big into Valhiem and those style games this should definately scratch that itch and more!
It's fun at the beginning, but as you progress, there are jarring difficulty spikes not only with quests, but also with new enemies. Combined with quest objectives hidden behind patches of wall indistinguishable from any other wall around you, and know-it-all responses on official Discord server it's no surprise why the game reviews went from 85% positive to 75%.
I hate the corpse runs. I hate having to just accidently get insta killed by the shroud. I hate durability. I hate that melee one-handers get parry and animation canceling but wands don't. I hate sliding off the gentleist of inclines like the rock suddenly turned to ice. I hate venturing out into the distance to do to some random happenstance and have to not only corpse run but give up on what i'm doing because random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I hate this game so much.
Here I will leave the 2B, friends who pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards. ⠄⠄⠄⠄⢠⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣯⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣆⠄⠄⠄ ⠄⠄⣼⢀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣏⡏⠄⠹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⡆⠄⠄ ⠄⠄⡟⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠈⠻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣇⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄ ⠄⢰⠃⣿⣿⠿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠙⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⢿⣿⣿⣿⡄⠄ ⠄⢸⢠⣿⣿⣧⡙⣿⣿⡆⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⠛⢿⣿⣿⡇⠸⣿⡿⣸⡇⠄ ⠄⠈⡆⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⡙⠳⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢀⣠⣤⣀⣈⠙⠃⠄⠿⢇⣿⡇⠄ ⠄⠄⡇⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣠⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣆⡀⣼⣿⡇⠄ ⠄⠄⢹⡘⣿⣿⣿⢿⣷⡀⠄⢀⣴⣾⣟⠉⠉⠉⠉⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⠇⢹⣿⠃⠄ ⠄⠄⠄⢷⡘⢿⣿⣎⢻⣷⠰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⣀⣀⣴⣿⣿⣿⠟⢫⡾⢸⡟⠄. ⠄⠄⠄⠄⠻⣦⡙⠿⣧⠙⢷⠙⠻⠿⢿⡿⠿⠿⠛⠋⠉⠄⠂⠘⠁⠞⠄⠄⠄ ⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⠙⠑⣠⣤⣴⡖⠄⠿⣋⣉⣉⡁⠄⢾⣦⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄
WTF? I've had better optimized farts than this 50 fps max no matter what settings POS game, crazy it has this many positive reviews. No games I play have this FPS Lag like this, it reminds me of when Cyberpunk 2077 first came out. The FPS Lag wasn't this bad when I got this game like a year ago BTW, I thought I would revisit this and holy, I literally got right off the game.
