I had the chance to play this game just before release. Check the Videos section of the Community Hub. I played until Prestige. I found the game original. It's hard to achieve in this sea of incremental games. There are multiple areas where you collect multiple types of energy. Those serve as currency to buy upgrades. You have to transfer energy from area to area because some upgrades cost more than 1 type of energy. So far I had access to yellow, blue and red. The tutorial is very clear and follows the direction you would normally take if you were to play alone. You have a companion that has an upgrade tree. Prestige gives you stats boosts depending on how much of each type of energy you have in the Hub. There are quests too, but I did not reach that point. And 500+ in-game achievements, 100 Steam achievements. I recommend this game, it's worth the low price.
The gameplay is flat and quickly becomes tedious recovering from prestiges takes way too long the game loop just isn't engaging.
It's a neat game but ultimately demands attention too often for me to recommend it. There isn't enough to do to play it actively, but you also don't make much progress without checking back every few minutes to start the next upgrades running. The automation upgrades come way too slowly to alleviate this. The quest and exploration timers contribute to the feeling that you must come back at 15 minute intervals to properly progress. Additionally the pipe/transfer mechanic, while interesting at first, also becomes tedious quickly as you have to keep micromanaging the levels in the connected zones with the capacity caps.
About 20 hours in and so good so far. -Cute graphics -Satisfying sounds -Good gameplay loop (so far anyway) & pacing feels good -Prestige feels rewarding -Detailed in-game guide, dont need a wiki or discord server to figure out every other game mechanic. I appreciate this feature greatly -No microtransactions Well worth the 3.99 in my opinion.
Could be good, but the upgrades do not scale. The first prestige doesn't get affected much, but by the 2nd and definitely by the 3rd you're spending the first 3+ hours buying upgrades that upgrade nothing at all (other than a few utility upgrades). Needs balancing to make the game feel smoother and less like it is forcing you to backtrack several hours every prestige. Edit: I want to add that the "Idler" tag for this game is very disingenuous. There is almost nothing idle about this game. You could play it more idle if you never intended on progressing except perhaps a tiny bit every other leap year, but that's not much fun. Edit after 7/11/2023 Patch: Waited nearly 3 weeks to patch the incredibly broken Prestige system just for it to be made even worse. My last Prestige (Prestige 7) took nearly 4 days just to get to a break even point. It is even slower after this patch. Time to move on and abandon this game.
I've played more than my fair share of idle/incremental games, but there aren't many with an interesting gameplay loop and smooth polish. While most games are just a button clicking simulator, the graphics, UI, and sound effects here are just worlds apart from the average clicker game. Plus this has the most absolutely ADORABLE lil robot companion!! <3 <3 <3 I played 2 versions of the beta, and the developer was just awesome with being responsive and adding/tweaking requested features. There's easily hundreds of hours of gameplay, but it's well paced so you always have something to aim for. Easily worth $4 as it stands, and there's already many other cool features in the pipeline.
I rarely write reviews, but I was able to participate as a beta tester, and I was able to play it very interestingly, so I thought I'd write a review. Not because my name was in the Credits ;-) During the beta test period, I played for about 1200 hours and finished in 2nd place in the ranking. Since the save data was once reset with the official release, I am playing again. [What kind of game?] An idle game where you collect the energy that erupts in multiple areas. [good points] - There are various upgrades and prestige functions, and the more you do it, the more you collect. - Various functions are gradually unlocked, and a balance that does not feel stagnant. - It's fun to think of efficient ways to transfer energy between areas. - When the screen is filled with energy, the tension rises. - There are many achievements (100 on Steam / 506 in-game: as of 06/10/2023), so it's rewarding. - Tasteful graphics. Playfulness is everywhere. - I felt that the development skills of the developers were high. Beta testing had few bugs, and any bugs were addressed immediately. [Depends on your taste] - Although there are some automation elements, the first half requires relatively sticking. - At first, you may have a slightly boring impression because there are few functions that can be used and the screen is lonely. - It seems that the internal processing is fixed at 120 fps (it seems difficult to change because it uses GameMaker), and the CPU usage load is somewhat high. - For now, only English is available, but I think it's not too difficult to understand. It's one of my favorite idle games. If you like idle games, please give it a try.
Incremental game with a satisfying game play loop. You collect energy and transfer it between areas, upgrade stuff and prestige for permanent upgrades. Definitely worth the price.
Original Incremental game
Nice idler for grinding.
