Warning: Asset Flip!
Lucky me gets to be the first to warn gamers about yet another asset flip on Steam. Endure or Perish is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Ascent Gaming Studios, took the Survival Game Kit tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Defuse Studios, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. It gets worse... "Survival Game Kit" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from Ascent Gaming Studios:

"Through The Dust", asset flipped by So Dank Studio
Take a look for yourself... you can clearly see how it's the same survival engine. Now in fairness this Early Access asset flip isn't abandoned yet, it's just been dumped out a month ago and it's still getting updates, presumably the developers scrambling to make it look like they're not trying to get paid for buying someone else's game assets from the marketplace. However, that's obviously what they're doing, and no amount of chopping and changing will turn them into game developers, and certainly won't turn this asset flip into a game anyone wants. The quality here is terrible... even the stock asset pack without changes is superior to this (you can see more of that in "Through The Dust"). Most importantly, they're 100% claiming credit for all the assets in the game that obviously aren't their creation. This is plagiarism. It's morally bankrupt. It's a disservice to gamers and the gaming industry. This kind of asset flipping gives genuine indie devs a bad name. The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Survival Game Kit v1" is just an asset pack with all the mechanics needed to teach people how to make survival games in the Unreal Engine, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so this copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Ascent Gaming Studios. They're seriously trying to charge gamers $25 USD for someone else's assets.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Endure or Perish its an early access game explore the open world gather or scavenge for resources to craft tools and building a base and defences-es against the zombies challenging and rewarding looking for to more updates
グラフィックと環境音がいいのとセールで安かったのでオススメにしときます まだ開発初期なのでロード後に拠点が消えるバグがあったりしました 今後開発が進んで色々追加されて楽しいサバイバルゲームになればいいかなと思います
Great game, love how it combines survival, building, exploring with zombie hunting and defending. The sky is the limit with this one. Highly Recomend
If you are looking for a new open world survival game, you might want to check out Endure or Perish. It is an early access game that is still in development, but it has a lot of potential and fun gameplay. I was very hesitant to buy it at first, because its an early access game, the reviews were mixed, and the price was $24.99, which seemed a bit high for an unfinished game. But I decided to give it a chance and I was pleasantly surprised. You have to manage your hunger, health, and stamina, as well as craft items, build shelters, hunt animals, and fight enemies. The game world is a bit on the small side with not vary many places to explore on the map. Since it is in early access and the developer themselves have stated the game is a work in progress, hopefully, at some point in the future, a larger map with more places to explore will be introduced. The graphics are beautiful, and the sound effects are immersive. The zombies are interesting, but can be a bit glitchy at times. I do like the random waves and the waves that happen at midnight. One pleasant feature of this game that seems unique to what I saw while looking for a good game to play is that time is traced numerically, but instead is tracked with sunset, sunrise, midday and midnight. I thought that was very interesting and allow me to focus on game play instead of constantly looking at what time it was. I would also hope to at some point possibly see other features on the map as well such as either weather, or season, but I’ll leave that up to the developer. The game is not perfect, of course. It has some bugs and glitches, which can be extremely frustrating at times. But the developer is very active and responsive, and he updates the game regularly with bug fixes and new content. He also listens to the feedback from the players and tries to improve the game based on their suggestions. I think Endure or Perish is a great game for anyone who likes open world survival games, but you have to keep in mind that it is a work in progress and not a finished product. It is not for everyone, but if you are willing to overlook some flaws and support the developer, you will have a lot of fun with it.
