About
Endless RPG is a random map and adventure generator for Dungeons and Dragons 2024 and 5e. It is intended as a toolkit for solo play D&D as well as an aid for dungeon masters.
This random map generator is not a game. It is a tool for playing tabletop pen-and-paper role-playing games (TTRPG). Endless RPG allows you to play solo DnD or quickly create maps and encounters. It does not perform combat or resolve challenges. Instead, the player reports back their failure or success.
Supports D&D 2024 including the Monster Manual 2025. Also includes support for 5e as a primary system and as an expansion to D&D 2024.
Over 200 monster groups (orc, goblin, drow, etc.) including advanced groups that can level in a class (orc wizard, goblin thief, drow monk).
Encounter variety includes itemization (even magical items) and augments that can range from being bigger or stronger to being a 7-legged spider or having more potent venom
Create random dungeons, caves, ruins, crypts, tombs, strongholds, keeps, etc. Maps can have additional themes such as being mystic, unholy, military, in ruins, or abandoned
Custom maps allow you to specify a primary, secondary, and a boss enemy, so you can have a necromancer raising a group of skeletons to bully orcs into searching a cavern for treasure
Custom encounter mode skips the map to just roll custom encounters/treasure
Quick missions will roll up a map with a random enemy in a random location
Quick Battle and Battle Map modes for helping with combat.
*** PLAY D&D SOLO OR IN A GROUP WITHOUT A DM ***
The primary focus of Endless RPG is solo players looking for a tool that will help them play DnD alone. It is also designed for small groups that do not have a dedicated Dungeon Master but still want to go on fun adventures.
Maps are explored through a fog-of-war discovery system with encounters, traps, tricks, and treasures displayed as you encounter them. This is perfect for solo play or groups without a DM as you will get no hints of what is behind the next door. (Unless you cast Clairvoyance!)
Custom Dungeons allow you to pick the CR level, environment (dungeon, cave, etc.), primary and secondary enemies (orcs, undead, demons, etc.), and an overall difficulty level. Map types can also have themes such as mystic, unholy, military, etc. These themes can even affect the types of creatures found within: a mystic tower with mercenaries may hold some conjurers summoning demons while a military tower might be lighter on the use of magic.
You can also choose Quick Mission for a random location and enemy groups.
Want to use your own solo tools?
You can also use Endless RPG in encounter mode, which lets you roll up encounters and treasure without the need for a map. This gives you access to advanced monster groups that are both leveled in a class and equipped with weapons and armor. The creatures found can also have common or unusual modifiers such as being sick or injured, being a huge version or having more potent poison that does additional damage.
*** RANDOM ENCOUNTERS, TREASURES, TRICKS, TRAPS AND WINDOW DRESSINGS ***
What would exploring be without some treasure and traps? Endless RPG supports multiple expansions that add to both encounters and treasures that can be found on the random map. And beyond treasures, encounters and traps, there are various other obstacles to overcome from a mud-drenched cave floor to a cursed temple.
*** QUICK BATTLE AND BATTLE MAPS FOR COMBAT MANAGEMENT***
While Endless RPG is not intended to replace your favorite combat management app, it does have a few management tools in place to use as aids. The app will help keep track of hit points at all times while you are adventuring. When dealing with encounters, you can also choose to use a Quick Combat screen, which tracks initiative and hit points or all combatants, or a Battle Map, which also tracks where combatants are in relation to each other.

Garbage.
I've tried a lot of solo RPG tools, and this one is my favorite. When playing solo, I tend toward short quests I can finish in a session or two, and Endless RPG's quick mission option does just that. I like the variety of quest goals it offers, and an interesting selection of foes, and the foes are non-random but are related to the quest goals. For example, some pack of troglodytes take over a keep and the goal is to clear them out and collect the treasures within. There aren't any NPCs and this is more of a dungeon crawl solo tool than a journaling tool, although if you're into that sort of thing, I suppose you can scribble to your hearts content. There are traps, a variety of loot and treasure chests, so exploring leads to a sense of accomplishment apart from just slaying bad guys. I will note that I have trouble getting invested in multiple characters when I play a short solo game, so I tend toward a party of one, and the app does a good job of adjusting the challenge rating automatically so that playing for example with a party of one level 7 character feels pretty fair and balanced. Please understand what this app is and does. It generates a map with loot and enemies and traps and doors and stairways for you to explore. It keeps track of a short list of key stats for your characters and your enemies. It calculates the probability that your rests will be disturbed or successful. But there is very little "game" here in the sense of automation. You roll for your character and for your enemies. You are responsible for their tactics. And while it has a wide array of enemies and magical items from DND (I haven't played the PF side), the full stat block for the enemies is not replicated here, for obvious copyright reasons, which means you're going to need at a minimum a character sheet, the Player's Handbook and the Monster Manual to be able to play. And if you have never played DND before, the app won't teach it to you (although if you are learning DND from other sources, it's a great way to practice and try out new characters). For me, what the app does is gives my solo game a purpose and a dungeon to explore, and it does a more satisfying job of this than any other tool I've tried. I have it on my phone and paired with DND Beyond, I've really had some very fun solo game experiences. My gratitude to the developer for offering such a tool!
DOn't buy because no animation for character movement.
Simple but does exactly what i need it to. Appreciate that all the art assets are easily modified. My only gripe is that i wish you could pan the camera easier, sometimes you're in a hallway and enemies get in the way of you moving the camera in their direction.
epic lil tool to throw together a quick solo camp or gotta group wishin ur dm had a dungeon ready boom there it is simple n easy to use deffinitely worth an add to ur librey
Great program. Well worth the buy. The price you can't beat. Especially you got a hack n' slash group who want to all play (with a little help from their DM who plays too), its awesome. 5 stars
A decent way to do Dungeon crawling in a solo game. I would like to see more exploration, like some simple random events besides combats.
the game is pretty bare bones, but if you wanna roll up a 5e character and try some random encounters without a dm this is the way to go!
