Disaponted in the the game flow. You have no choice,. There is no way to spend the gold you find. I have gotten to the dragon 2 times and were well over level 100 Did not even come close. Disapointed.
RPG Maker strikes again! Charlotte: Dragon Slayer is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. The game is a painfully generic, very lazy effort, with a linear adventure line. It's so comically bad, you can collect gold from enemies, but the developer didn't bother putting in any shops, so... you get the idea. RPG Maker asset flip trash. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Charlotte: Dragon Slayer has the utterly unrealistic price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
Achievement wont work even after beating the game. Valkyrie nemesis is the same way. Pretty much you have 4 choices - Chose one of 4 rooms in level , dig - pray or not , Open chest and you can reroll for gold if that thing isnt what you want 5times per chest , Equip and dispose instead of unequip. Its trash. If you want to beat it - get best gear for Charlotte , skills - sleeping touch , run over , blood ivy. And also fight a lot of fighting to increase lvl for overall stats. If i were to describe the loop - You in hell beating enemies , getting lucky on opening chests over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over over. Untill reaching and defeating the Dragon.
basit rpgmaker herkes tekleniyor anlamadım
Yes.
真的是非非常粗制滥造的东西,固定的四个方向的四个房间,你只能四选一,选完只能回光圈进入下个场景
Charlotte: Dragon Slayer, developed by Succubella Games and published by Angel And Demons, is a roguelike RPG that blends classic pixel art aesthetics with challenging turn-based combat. Players step into the role of Charlotte, a determined soldier from the Kingdom of Artolia, who embarks on a perilous journey to confront a massive dragon threatening her homeland. The game’s premise, inspired by Norse mythology and traditional fantasy tropes, provides a straightforward but compelling narrative framework that drives players through procedurally generated dungeons teeming with enemies, traps, and treasure. Each run feels unique due to the randomization, emphasizing skill, strategy, and adaptability. The core gameplay of Charlotte: Dragon Slayer revolves around exploration and tactical combat. Players traverse a variety of dungeon layouts, encountering different enemy types that require careful planning and strategic use of skills. The turn-based combat system allows players to weigh each action, deciding between offensive attacks, defensive maneuvers, or using special abilities. While the mechanics are relatively simple, the roguelike elements add layers of depth, as every encounter can carry significant consequences. Players must make the most of limited resources, balancing risk and reward as they progress deeper into the dungeons. Character customization is a central feature, offering a range of weapons, armor, and abilities that can be tailored to suit various playstyles. Players can experiment with different combinations of equipment and skills, adapting their approach to challenges and enemies. This flexibility adds a strategic dimension to the gameplay, rewarding careful planning and experimentation. However, the game’s difficulty curve can be steep at times, and the procedural nature of the levels occasionally results in runs that feel disproportionately punishing or unpredictable, which may frustrate some players. Visually, the game embraces a nostalgic pixel art style reminiscent of classic RPGs. The environments are distinct and colorful, from dark caverns to richly detailed dungeon corridors, while character sprites are expressive and memorable. The art style effectively conveys the game’s fantasy world and supports gameplay clarity, ensuring that players can easily differentiate between enemies, traps, and interactive objects. This visual approach complements the game’s retro-inspired design while maintaining readability during fast-paced or tense moments. The audio design further enhances the experience, featuring a soundtrack that matches the mood of the dungeons and combats. Music cues build tension during battles and provide an energetic backdrop for exploration. Sound effects are crisp and responsive, giving satisfying feedback for attacks, enemy actions, and other interactions. While the soundtrack can feel repetitive over extended play sessions, it generally contributes positively to the overall atmosphere, reinforcing the game’s immersive fantasy setting. In terms of performance, Charlotte: Dragon Slayer is optimized to run smoothly across a range of systems. Controls are responsive, and the interface is user-friendly, making the game accessible to both new players and seasoned roguelike enthusiasts. The combination of procedural generation, strategic combat, and character progression ensures that the game offers a high replay value, encouraging multiple playthroughs to explore different strategies and outcomes. While the game has its challenges—such as occasional difficulty spikes and the repetitive nature inherent to roguelikes—it succeeds in delivering a rewarding and engaging experience for those who appreciate strategy-driven dungeon crawlers. Its mix of tactical decision-making, character customization, and procedural variety keeps players engaged and invested in each run. Overall, Charlotte: Dragon Slayer is a compelling roguelike RPG that blends nostalgia with modern gameplay design. Its pixel art visuals, challenging turn-based combat, and deep customization options create an experience that is both accessible and strategically engaging. For players who enjoy testing their skills, experimenting with builds, and facing unpredictable dungeon layouts, this game provides a satisfying and replayable adventure filled with danger, strategy, and heroic fantasy.
