You Like Borderlands? You Like Rouge-likes? You like Fighting Tooth and Nail and feeling accomplished? 7/10 game. Rough at points, but good otherwise Pros: Endless Replay ability due to Random Generation Good-Ish movment (Feels like Gmod Bhopping instead of Ultrakill Sliding) Cool Guns with unique abilities WARNING: DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THAT SHOOTS MINES, IT WILL STOP WORKING RANDOMLY' Cons: Enemy Explosives are a little BS, most notable on the bosses hitting you through walls You can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by luck The Character Unlocks are a little rough.

Has solid foundations, but desperately needs variety - both of levels and enemies. Guns seem varied at first, but soon enough you get there are like four types with minimal quirks. Guns need variety the same as the rest(or more)! Make them shoot fireballs, bounce off walls, leap forward, make them rain lightning or project barriers. Utilise right-click for something more/else than scope zoom! Remember flak cannon from unreal? I know some of those may be difficult with your engine, but different bullet colour and damage is not a gun variety, sorry. All that said, I'd still say go get it for a few hours of nice robot shooting action. For now, good to take with a discount. Let's hope worth full price when leaving EA. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! [edit] after playing a bit more, I've found some guns that actually shoot different. :) there is still lots of room for improvement, but it's a bit better that I initially thought. thoughts: > performance of things other than "laser" does not justify their rarity > snipers are severely underpowered. either increase ammo drop or damage > you can increase variety of levels by slicing them in smaller pieces and/or making few exits and randomize them > it might be just my playstyle, but I found pistols and rifles to be only viable guns. Shotguns performed well on ranges that made you unable to dodge and snipers ran out of ammo way to fast
I was searching quite a while for a game like this. After playing Borderlands 2 for over 500 hours and Borderlands 3 for over 80 hours, I was searching for another looter shooter which scratches that itch. This game is a pure roguelike, which means you loose everything if you die in a run, so there is always more loot to find in your next run. You take nothing with you for your next try. The weapons are randomized in its stats, traits, aswell their looks, which makes finding and trying them satisfying. The maps itself are really repetitive, after my second run I already knew all the individual rooms from the first stage. This did not matter to me, because I wanted to find more guns and more loot :) If you look at the animations and the graphics you can see that this is an indie shooter but a well done one. The developers are active and are continuing updating the game. I'm having fun with this game and will keep an eye on the future updates.
For a game that requires little to no space, it is pretty good. It obviously needs some tweaks and bug fixes but it is a pretty good game if you wanna progress fairly well and kill some time. My opinion is that it should be kind of hard to hate a game that is listed as "early access" because that should tell you there will be some type of issue/issues. It is totally understandable if the game is coming from a high level company that puts out games for a living *cough *cough BF 2042 *cough *cough....excuse me, but for group of devs putting together their first game; you have to hand it to them they did pretty good. The game runs smoothly and it isn't boring. Let them work out the kinks and continue read up on the developing news for the game and then try it out again if you didn't like it. All it takes is time and some dedication for it to become something beautiful, making a game is a lot more complicated than some would think so cut them some slack.
LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE - The play button in the menu was un-clickable.
An interesting and colorful rogue-like. I enjoyed my time with the game, even if I got bored pretty quickly.
The game crashing is definitely causing me the most issues. I'll get close to 10,000 gears collected, or reach Lvl 20 with X character, and as I enter the portal to the next world/area, the game crashes. And due to the game crashing while I got Recruit to Lvl 10 to unlock Soldier, I never got the achievement. I unlocked Soldier and have the achievements for him to reach Lvl 5 and 10 with him, but the original achievement never triggered as being acheived. I'm unsure how the Gun Collector achievement works. I've apparently only collected 50 guns in my 10 hours of playing. Playing more, I've been able to use my ammo better resulting in not searching everything for ammo. Sniper Rifles also have the cheapest ammo, so if you can find one, plus a ammo station nearby, you'll be okay. I believe the way the ammo cost works is by how much ammo that particular gun type can hold, making Shotgun/Rifles ammo cost much more. If the crashes are fixed I can definitely see people (and myself) achieving Lvl 100 with a character or collect 50,000 gears in a single run.
