We 100% achievement hunted Endless Fables 4 (We = Me and my 7 year old) she enjoys the hidden object games and puzzles within them. This Took about 4 hours to get all achievements and is just your classic Artifex Mundi Hidden Objwct games. I have no clue of the story, something about a blue thing getting grab by a bee, not sure. But nice game for us to spend quality time together.
Very good characters and ok story too. Always clear what you need be doing next. Some scary things in this game too and noises fit action! Need to put volume up when playing this.
Spent almost 2 hours trying to get this game to work WITHOUT the constant flickering every second, to no avail. Game is unplayable and uses a completely different underlying game engine, which has been reported as very "glitchy". Sadly, cannot recommend a game that is this broken. The rest of the games in the series, work just fine.
Fine. After finishing it, I give it a thumbs up, but only because it ended up working fine through Proton. On the native Linux version, it started to crash whenever I wanted to change settings. The savegame transferred fine between both. The game itself was ok. The stories keep getting worse, but I'm not playing them for the stories. The puzzles and scenes were all right. The art is pretty. No missable achievements except for the collectibles. Again, the bonus chapter is needed to 100% it, and this one was so hilariously bad, it was funny again.
Let me dress up my pink fluffy cloud sheep with sunglasses, tennis racket, and a bucket of paint to look like a wasp.
It's an all right game if you can grab it for cheap or in a bundle, and if you like these kinds of games.
In spite of how stupid it was, it worked, and the puzzles were largely good, So I'll recommend this because you can't always guarantee that. This had an intriguing premise, but was let down by it's actual execution. Honestly, if they hadn't tried to EXPLAIN everything, and, at the same time, give us a secret society origin story, it would have been much better. As is, we get stupid, generic rewrites of "demons" and weird, pseudo-masonic knights templar bs that feels like someone was told their game was too short and they needed to fill space, so the game maker just grabbed a pamphlet for the local cult chapter and shoved it in without care of tonal consistency. Your character starts the game worried about her long-lost friend, but by the end she barely remembers or cares about him, because all the cult stuff was treated as more important than actual character growth or even stopping the big bad guy.
Another decent entry in the Endless Fables series, better than the first two but not as good as the third. The biggest issue I had was finding myself using the hint button often to figure out where to go next but outside of that the puzzles and HO scenes were pretty easy. The voice acting was all over the place but it was enjoyable with the wide cast of characters. Good samurai wasp wallpaper in the Extras.
I'm having fun with this game.
Quality graphics and puzzles by Artifex Mundi. Strange story and characters.
