This was incredibly challenging for me. Sometimes it seemed a loss, like things were not explained well enough. Some of the puzzles were more attrition than seemingly logical. Overall, it was satisfying. It's a keeper, and I am looking forward to playing part 2.
If you like stories, this game doesn't actually have a bad plot. It gets juicier throughout the rest of the games, but for now, play this one if you want to just play the whole series. Boring at times with its repetitive hunting for objects and mediocre graphics, but still a pleasurable experience.

Infelizmente o gameplay envelheceu demais e é repetitivo :(
Incredibly nostalgic Hidden Object/Puzzle game with a fun story! Would also recommend the sequel for ZEM, the best game ever created (for Anna, NOT Pandora iykyk)!
СУП ХАРЧО
While it's certainly not the best point and click game out there , it does have a good soundtrack ( except the one in the war museum with its piercing sounds) and it is atmospheric . I got it for 0.99, practically free, and I had a nice few hours of playing. The hand-drawn portrait of the woman with the purple orb is excellent , if the HOG's had been drawn by this artist they would have been very nice !

Summary
An older hidden object that follows the basic formula of the genre with a unique setting that focuses more on its expected story rather than gameplay. Pros + Nice little time sink Cons - Dated
Overview
Empress of the Deep is an older hidden object game that sticks to the familiar formula of the genre. It does have a rather unique setting being a futuristic almost fantasy like world where the game focuses mostly on its setting and story rather than gameplay. Though unfortunately the story is rather simple and not at all unique and what happens is rather expected. The game comes fully voiced and has a ton of dialogue for something so short, but at least the voice work is done really well. Strangely, completing objectives and progressing the story also gives you flowers although I have no clue as to the significance of them since they aren't used in any way. There isn't much to the graphics but its okay for what it is, animations and the cinematics are not that good and definitely dated but it works. Worth giving a go just for the fun of it and it won't take up much of your time. Gameplay Gameplay is also nothing special as it is the basic hidden object style of the time and doesn't deviate from the genre standard at all. Most of the hidden object zones aren't very difficult as items pop out and don't completely blend into the background for most but they shouldn't give you much trouble either way. Clues and solutions you find are recorded in your book and can be viewed at any time, so it really pays to explore areas a little to reduce the need to backtrack. There is no timer or anything even when things seem dire so you're free to play at your own pace, like previously said the game is more about the story than gameplay. One feature I really liked and think should be a standard in hidden object games, is that they show you a symbol on the top left of the screen marked "Area Complete" once you have exhausted everything to do in that one place. This significantly cuts down time spent looking at areas that have nothing more to offer you and moves you along. Though backtracking is still rather significant as the story demands it.
