The bastard child of Grand Strategy and Tower Defense, with a black humor infused plot, set in a grim, disillusioned world. Quell the rebellion, tame the Western Marches, disobey your orders and save your brandy. Not strictly in this order.

Love the humour / writing, really laughed out loud several times.. The music is ridiculous fun too.. The tower defense twists are welcome and looks like fun to research through the skill tree and manage the conquered areas.. The only disturbing thing is, that it's all pretty tiny on Steam Deck, but the Major told me it's my bad.. I recommend.
the only good thing about this bugged crap is that with its 0 graphics, it does not take a lot of time to reload after it crashes
Tower Defense + Province and Settlement Managemt. Perfect Combination for me. Also the Artwork is looking great aswell with the soundtracks chosen. One of the best Intros i ever watched :-)
Very underrated TD game. Cool mechanics of towers and enemies you don't see around in other games. The grand strategy part of the game is good and not too overwhelming to get the hang of. Solid game, underrated af, but solid.
A Yes to recommend this title in an overdue review, long after I gave up playing. The developer put forth a fine effort, but the design seems flawed in a way that doesn't seem surmountable - your towers can be destroyed. There are two ways in which you cannot keep up with this mechanic. 1. You physically cannot keep up with the demands of the action in later difficult missions. 2. You cannot keep up from a Resource standpoint as all your structures get damaged or obliterated while you simultaneously must build direly needed additional structures. All over. The story and dialogue is excellent. Refreshing in an online sea of generic characters and homogenous speech. A Risk-style strategic map allows you to set the stage for the defenses you mount as well as the offensives you instigate to take more provinces for additional resources. There are persistent upgrades that unlock new assets and that apply subtle statistical boosts to those assets. But the re-building mechanic - when such is most critical - becomes insurmountable far into the game. I had 2 paths to my castle - one from the West, one from the East. I could hold the paths, but get bombed into dust by enemy airships. Establish enough air defenses to thwart the airships, and the enemy overruns you on the ground. Fortify the West approach and defend against air, and the Eastern approach steamrollers you. Invest in early resource generation (on the battlemap) and you don't have enough early defenses to survive to benefit from them. Lots of interesting elements to play with, such as stationable troops on the actual pathways, but not much opportunity to play with them. Not at that point, in those difficult circumstances. A great game which I had to decide I had gotten as far as I could in. A good developer who deserves attention, and who hopefully brings out more titles such as this in the future.
Fun game, interesting writing with sometimes rather juvenile humor - I quite liked it. The tower defense part is solid, the resource management was sometimes tedious but not too bad. I had lots of fun until the end!
