I came expecting cities skylines with gangsters, what I got is a sandbox gangster shin megami tensei. Fun stategy combat and empire building although could use more racket types. Difficulty spikes may happen, but there are many methods to win. Ran into a few bugs, but nothing severe so far. Cons: forced diversity bs without any thoughts put in as usual. I play as Sai Wing Mock, the chinese boss with bowler hat, and yet many of my goons are fedora-wearing hunk brunette butch. Meanwhile, the Thugs are bearded vikings (and thugs are male only). My Hired Guns are colorful circus, because Bau Chai-ung is the only chinese one to match Sai Wing Mock with. Then, my italian accountant-looking uncle fell in love with another uncle. The strongest Hired Gun in the list is just trying so hard to be mysterious, while the character design is already obvious what they're after; it's just lame, cringe, and doesn't even look remotely interesting. The game has clear foundation for roleplay, especially when it's an empire-building game. An actual diverse options could be and should've been implemented to support that. Not this modern-audience forced-diversity agenda. It's ruining the taste. I give a thumb-up in respect for its fun gameplay. But for the specific Cons that I mentioned, I give a huge thumb-down to it.
