Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Still waiting for my refund or the last dlc. They ran away with everyones money! Was a fun/good game, had potential... but don't buy it!
They made a post saying, "We hand it to you modders" but then later down the road give a DLC that breaks all the major mods and contributes barely anything.

it's a fun game of monopoly crossed with some xcom style chess for combat scenarios. the reason for giving a negative review is the amount of game breaking bugs; want to start a war? CAN'T ATTACK BUILDINGS! want to buyout gangs? CAN'T BUYOUT even though you have met all the conditions! want to mod the game? MODDERS HAVE LEFT IT BEHIND, even the bug fixing mods are broken because of an update 5 years after release! it could've been a fun little game of gangster monopoly, instead we get a worse iteration of omerta: city of gangsters and that game had the fatal flaw of the enemy gangster just restoring goons to his establishments effectively soft-locking the game! at least we still have the 90s game of gangster; where you can extensively lay out plans to take over a whole city that looks like a cross between early fallout and sim city.
Forgotten okay beta game that I was pretty excited about and preordered. Really burned me and I haven't spent a dime with Paradox since. Maybe there's hope that it will become a cult classic in 5 years and they'll invest some more time in it. Still waiting on that 2nd DLC...
I was very excited for this, pre-purchased a few days before launch. It does not deliver what was promised at all. The state it was released in was abysmal, basically should've been an alpha test. Broken and an extremely boring gameplay loop. Years on now, I stumbled on this sitting on "mixed" reviews. Decided to give it a go, nothing substantial has changed, and the developer has spent their time drawing up a beautiful roadmap and abandoning the game right after. I have absolutely no idea how this can sit on "mixed". Unless you get this game for under 5 bucks, it is not worth your money or time. And the dev and publisher really don't deserve your money for the borderline rugpull they pulled with this one.
This is a fun game. Reviews should be better. Not a perfect game, but fun nonetheless. Kind of a mashup between a tactical RPG and 4x strategy. Yes there are a few mission bugs, which are annoying. Often solved by a reload though. If you save often (you should) then your issues should be very minor. I do wish: 1. dev was still active, but guessing it didnt sell well enough 2. modding community was more active 3. better options in the game such as being able to increase animation speed to make the battles go a bit faster once you are used to them 4. and of course fix those occasional mission bugs
I really wanted to give this game a try... but man, the developers should be ashamed! Critical bugs are still out there, some features feel clearly underdeveloped, and the gameplay could definitely use more polish. The frustrating thing is, Empire of Sin had everything it needed to be a hit, set in the roaring 1920s with amazing characters and almost unlimited potential for expansions and DLCs. Instead, the developers let the game die after the first DLC and didn’t even bother to fix what was broken. Oh... And the combat system is rubbish.

After being out for multiple years, game still has bugs that break main story lines and the developer has not resolved the issue at any point. Boards used by developers have Users that have put up notices of these issues throughout the years and still haven't corrected so they are aware of them. I'm disappointed to see that this game didn't get the attention like some of the developers other titles have. I enjoyed playing it as being a mobster is cool but feels klunky at times likes its older than it is. Overall, don't recommend at this point.
