Not even a year in Early Access and now it's somehow a complete game? What a bunch of rats these devs are
I like trying different kinds strategy RPG games. I enjoy this game. Fun ideas with the layout of the game, and some dungeon crawling make this actually fun.. Building your city takes some time and you have to kill alot of enemies. There are a few different villages and cities on the map you can do quests for to gain allegiance for reinforcements and special units. The fun is when you build your overland army and roam around the map doing quests. Save often.

The other reviews here provide a balance of the good and not so good things about this game, but having now completed the main storyline I think it's worth a review of my own, as there is something good here for those who like what it does and have some patience. I was drawn to this game as I've played a lot of the Mount and Blade games, and this seemed like it could be something similar but with a more fantasy-driven take and a stronger story. And it is. The individual combat is more varied and broader in scope than Mount and Blade, but the combat strategy is definitely not. It's fun in its own right though. And there is a variety of units, magic, skills and missions which keeps it fairly fresh. The story is not a classic but is well told, and pretty well voice-acted. The combat missions vary from on-your-own dungeon crawls, to small party special maps, to reasonably large scale pitched battles and sieges. There is some jank there, but as I said before, it's also a goodly amount of fun. Where patience is required, though, is around balancing and some small scale bugs. Depending on where you invest your gold and skill points, the difficulty can spike dramatically at times - nothing I couldn't get around in the end though. And whilst I didn't encounter any terminal bugs, there were times on siege battles where enemies would glitch through walls\floors and need creative hunting down. With the siege weapons this was doable though, a little frustrating and immersion breaking but not terminal. I have to commend the game and its design in terms of its scope and ambition - maybe this was its undoing to an extent though. As others have said, there's a lot to like here and clearly a lot of love given to the game - if it vaguely sounds interesting it's worth it on sale (I picked up at 75% off and consider it great value). I hope the developers try something similar in future - or someone does, anyway - and maybe learn from the experience of this game, as there is a very good core here.
Even though the game has a nice concept and story, the execution is not at its best. For there is a decent sum of bugs causing the player to be frustrated neither be able to play trough it...

Original and interesting game play however requires being able to read dev's mind and use their intended approach otherwise come to a dead end after several hours of leveling and city building.
Buona idea, realizzata male.
I am enjoying my time in this game. It's a fun and charming game with a satisfying play loop. There could be some improvements but on sale it's well worth it. It's a hell of a lot more fun than some AAA games I have played, that's for sure. It's obvious that a lot of work and thought went into this.
