Its 99 cents... who cares I had a little fun and the commands were realistic
Threw on the Hackers soundtrack and put my knowledge of the multiplication table to task 10/10 Dev cute
Cheap quick fun.
Very unintuitive, even when you get the hang of it the gameplay isn't very fun.
this game is delightful. came across it in the steam store and saw the face and thought "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that's boringkate! from the gay people on my phone!" thank you for your service, you are stronger than any US soldier. it'd be nice if there were more aliases for the commands, e.g. `del` and `rm` for delete and `cat` for open. at least 10 times while playing through this game the posix shell muscle memory kicked in lol also, it'd be cool to be able to delete multiple files in one command, like real shells can do :3
really fun game worth the money wish it was longer tho
The game crashes, but that's ok. I tried to play on linux, so it's my own fault. BoringKate is very cute!
Flashcard simulator posing as typing test simulator posing as Hackers-themed mastermind spoof. Ironically susceptible to XSS attacks
It's basically a hacking themed simplified version of mastermind mixed with typing, memory or math challanges, all with a time limit that punishes you for failing. The whole game happens inside a simplified command line interface. This game is for people who like cli or who like those job simulators where you can do repetetive tasks for virtual money. The game also has a story that is told through emails. I like the humor in the game. I also like that the source code is included with he purchase so the hacking simulator can be hacked.
