About
"ELEVATOR: AVICI" is a first-person psychological horror game wrapped in a gritty, retro Hong Kong lo-fi aesthetic.
The story roots itself in the shadowy corners of modern Hong Kong.
At 2:00 AM, you are just an ordinary delivery worker, stepping into a derelict apartment building for one last routine order.
Waiting for you is a classic, clanking cage elevator—the kind you’ve ridden a thousand times before, smelling faintly of machine oil and decay.
As you press the loose, wobbling button, the metal chassis groans and screeches into motion, just as it always does. But this time, your fate veers off the predictable track.
The routine shatters.
The elevator malfunctions violently. Imprisoned in this suffocating metal box, you have no choice but to watch the erratic floor indicator spin into chaos.
It might be suspended forever in the pitch-black shaft; or perhaps, it has already crossed the threshold into a supernatural realm that does not belong to the living…
In the dead silence, your sole lifeline is the distorted static of the emergency intercom.
A strange voice, claiming to be a "repairman," promises he can guide you to safety—if only you follow his commands.
Will you trust his orders, or forge your own path to survival?
The choice is yours.

A very good short horror game. For this price I give it 5/5. I hope there will be more games coming from this dev. https://youtu.be/U44FZ-rVCKc?si=iQBpbYwoychuPCPp

You play as a delivery driver making your last delivery of the night. The destination is an old apartment building that feels unsettling the moment you walk through the front door. The lights flicker and barely work, flyers and handwritten notes cover the walls, and stepping into the elevator is the last thing you want to do. The grainy visuals add a lot to the atmosphere, although you can disable the filter if you prefer a cleaner look. Of course, things quickly go wrong. The elevator breaks down when you reach the designated floor. Even worse, it suddenly starts moving again, climbing to a floor that shouldn't even exist because the building doesn't have that many levels. Now you're trapped inside with nobody around to hear you since the place is practically abandoned. Fortunately, a voice comes through the intercom, offering to help, but I never felt completely sure whether it could be trusted. Gameplay is all about keeping the experience smooth and immersive. You can move around freely, but since the entire game takes place inside an elevator, your interactions are naturally limited. Nothing is explicitly marked. Instead, when you get close to something interesting and aim your view at it, a button prompt appears and the object becomes highlighted. Your progress depends on the choices you make. You can either follow the mysterious voice's instructions or ignore them. Picking the wrong option leads to your death, but it isn't too punishing because you respawn right before the decision and can immediately try again. The elevator becomes increasingly disturbing, with flesh, eyeballs, and eventually a creature chasing you, although escaping from it isn't particularly difficult. The game only takes a few minutes to finish, but it features three different endings. Unlocking them depends on the three hidden items. You actually have to die to collect them, but thankfully they remain in your inventory after you respawn. The items are quite easy to miss, and if you progress too far without finding them, you'll have to restart the entire game. That becomes a little frustrating because of the slow paced scenes you've already seen.
