Cute little indie game. Love the endings and the fast travel to specific parts of the game, very intuitive and QoL!!!!

Even though I'm not a big fan of the 'walk-with-a-flashlight-in-the-dark' horror games, I enjoyed my time with this game. I gave it a try mainly because of the visuals and soon I was having fun figuring out the different endings.

I feel like a jerk by giving a completely free game a poor recommendation. :( The developer clearly had an idea and cranked out a game, made on Godot (yay!), and shared it for everyone to play. There's just a lot of issues... Straight away, the fonts are hard to read and words look like they run together. Controller support worked right away, but so did keyboard an mouse, until you need to interact, which don't seem to be mapped to anything. I was getting a lot of graphical flashing, glitching, and Z-fighting style bugs. Physics objects can get into infinite loop of clanking around, just from being on the ground. At one point, you need to collect objects and place them into a briefcase, and I tried to place a potato into the case, but it was launched out of the map, and its distance bugged out and made the game, at least for that ending, incompletable. The phone in game has crazy shake on it while moving, so you can't even see the distance number while moving. The outdoor environment is WAY TOO DARK. Even with flashlight, can't see anything unless it's directly in front of you. Tried following the noted to the "roots" note, and found nothing. Even my stream chat ran out of ideas. I don't know if I was missing the clue, the world is too dark to see the note, or if it bugged out and fell through the ground? Couldn't complete the finding notes. Finally... the game is just boring. Nothing scary happened after over an hour of playing. No sounds... monsters, creatures, nothing. I feel like the trailer just took voices of streamers freaking out while playing different games and overlaid them onto the video of someone playing this. There's nothing even happening in the trailer that would make people scream? This feels dishonest at best, which is the worst part about this all. Sure, it's free... but it's broken, not fun, unoriginal, not scary at all. There's thousands of games like this already, so I'm not sure why anyone would choose this over any other., especially with all the problems. :( Maybe someday this could be something more, but right now it seems more like a school assignment.
