Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 9 → 0/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron

it fun simple but fun
this game is oddly trippy but I like it
Utterly bizarre in both concept and execution. Many people are pushed away by the title, which is certainly a mouthful, but for me this was the main draw. I love learning about religion and religious history, so seeing a game based (loosely) on Old Testament pseudepigrapha is impossible for me to not click on. I was rewarded with a unique experience that feels completely uncompromising in its vision and artistic scope. El Shaddai has some of the most imaginative backdrops in a game, creating a surrealist experience. The trippy visuals coupled by the stellar soundtrack make for a memorable experience, whether you love it or hate it. I felt I could stand around for hours in Chapter 2 watching the bizarre pyrotechnics and falling into a trancelike state listening to the track "Scarlet Liturgy". The story is bizarre, told rather sporadically, and in a nonconventional way. Its less that the actual plot that seems to matter, but rather the experience of being Enoch and being part of this grand trial. The journey is what matters, the growth and development made along the way as you try, fail, and eventually succeed. The gameplay and story work hand in hand as mechanics such as the recovery system in combat push forward this narrative that you are being tested and cannot give up. There is a complete lack of UI that, not only lets you breathe in the visuals, but helps immerse you into the experience, completely free of distractions while still giving you the bare minimum of health tracking through sound effects and your armor popping off. Your companion Lucifel has repeated phone calls with the big man upstairs that have an interesting duality to them. On one hand, it feels like you aren't meant to hear this information due to the very nature of them being in the distance, private conversations. One can't help but feel like an eavesdropper. Yet on the other hand, there's is clearly no need for them besides to inform Enoch/the player of information. An all knowing God does not need Lucifel to give him updates on your progress; the updates are really for you as a built in reminder of your progress, your journey, and the hardships yet to come. The whole experience of this game feels so alien and other, yet rewarding and cohesive. Gameplay is the weakest bit here but is by no means bad. The combat is simple but just robust enough to engage you with the combos, parrying, and rock, paper, scissors weapon system. Sometimes it can feel a bit repetitive or tiresome, but the game's length isn't egregious and the visuals, music, and bosses make for more memorable encounters. The platforming is also a bit funky and the surreal visuals can sometimes make it difficult to gauge distance, leading to missed jumps into the void. None of this breaks the experience, but it can lead to some annoyances along the way. I don't think this is a game for everyone, but I personally loved it. It felt so alive with human expression and a truly unique artistic vision. In a sea of AAA slop made for the lowest common denominator, it is so refreshing to play an older game that isn't trying to market itself to anyone. El Shaddai makes no attempts to be accessible to everyone, it instead just focuses on its own character for the sake of making something truly unique.
dope
Game talks about "The Book of Enoch" which was taken away from canonical understanding of bible, but takes its own narrative where Fallen Angels rebelled against God and you are on the mission to Purify them all. For the game that is THAT old it still looks fine, like an indie game if you will. Soundtrack is not phenomenal, but not boring to the core as well. Gameplay is very simple: Some not stressing platforming, repetative fights with different (not really) enenimies. Combat: You have 3 types of weapon - 1) melee sword, 2) ranged balistics (OP) and 3) heavy, heavy knuckles that also work as a impenetrable shield. Ending is something to be discussed...since if you ARE NOT reading all of the files, you won't understand it at all. Oh btw, the game calls you a "Best Player" by the end of campaign, so its worth of every penny. Solid 7.5/10
this game has 7 fans and i'm one of them japanese people are absolutely obsessed with judeo-christian imagery
It's just... unfinished lots of wasted potential
