if you like the rpg turn based games like Legends of Eisenwald game and its combat system witch is turn based Blood of November has good story line and the graphics is good similar to original game this is the new story medieval based RPG turn-based game a quest system where some events will change according to your behaviour
Наративщика нашли на помойке и дали бутылку водки что б он наполнил игру отсылочками на выборы в США и убил всю атмосферу, а шутки все равно вышли не смешными. Спасибо)
I had this in my library for a long time and forgot about it. Wanted to write a review before I forget about it again. I played the main game and liked it. This one is a smaller scope, but very similar otherwise. Many reviewers found issue with the similarities to the contenders of the current election. If they exist, they are very easy to ignore. The so-called Trump character was always in a perpetual boozy party. He is in reality a teetotallar. So, those comments can be safely ignored. My small gripes are the same as with the main game. It is difficult to find one's way through a normally impenetrable forest. It's a point and click all the way through. But those are not serious. 65/100
Eisenwald: Blood of November, developed and published by Aterdux Entertainment, is a standalone expansion that builds upon the foundation of Legends of Eisenwald while narrowing its scope into a more focused, conflict-driven scenario. Rather than reinventing the formula, it leans into the same blend of sandbox exploration, turn-based tactical combat, and grounded storytelling, presenting a medieval world shaped by political instability and personal ambition. It feels less like a sweeping epic and more like a contained chapter within a larger setting—one that emphasizes player choice and consequence over dramatic spectacle. The story centers on a succession crisis following the death of a duke, leaving the region fractured as rival factions compete for control. Players begin as an outsider with no immediate allegiance, gradually becoming involved in the unfolding power struggle through their actions and decisions. The narrative is not delivered in a strictly linear fashion; instead, it emerges through quests, encounters, and interactions across the map. This approach gives the game a sense of openness, allowing players to shape their own path through the conflict. However, the storytelling can feel uneven, with some threads developing naturally while others seem to resolve abruptly or lack sufficient depth. Exploration is a core part of the experience, with players navigating a large overworld map filled with settlements, roaming armies, and dynamic events. The sandbox structure encourages experimentation, letting players decide which contracts to pursue, which factions to support, and how to manage their resources. This freedom is one of the game’s defining strengths, as it creates a sense of agency that is not tied to a single narrative path. At the same time, the lack of clear direction can make progression feel uncertain, particularly in the early stages when objectives are not always clearly prioritized. Combat follows a turn-based tactical system that emphasizes positioning and careful planning. Battles are fought with small groups of units, each contributing specific roles to the overall strategy. The pace is deliberate, rewarding thoughtful decision-making rather than quick reactions. While the mechanics are solid and accessible, they do not evolve significantly over time, leading to a degree of repetition. Encounters tend to follow familiar patterns, and without substantial variation, the combat can begin to feel routine during longer play sessions. The game introduces dynamic systems such as random events and roaming enemy forces, which aim to create a sense of a living world. These elements add unpredictability and can make each playthrough feel slightly different, but they also contribute to balance issues. Difficulty can fluctuate in ways that feel inconsistent, with certain encounters presenting challenges that seem disproportionate to the player’s current capabilities. This uneven progression can occasionally disrupt the sense of control that the game otherwise tries to establish. Visually, Eisenwald: Blood of November maintains a subdued and functional style. The environments are designed to reflect a grounded medieval setting, with muted colors and simple structures that prioritize atmosphere over detail. While this approach supports the game’s tone, it also limits its visual impact. Locations often lack distinct features, making them less memorable and reinforcing the sense that the world serves more as a backdrop for systems than as a fully realized environment. Pacing is one of the more noticeable weaknesses. The open-ended design allows players to explore at their own pace, but the relatively short overall length can make the experience feel compressed. There are moments where the game seems to accelerate toward its conclusion, particularly if certain conditions are met, which can make the ending feel abrupt. This imbalance between freedom and narrative resolution prevents the game from fully capitalizing on its setup. Despite these limitations, Eisenwald: Blood of November retains a clear sense of purpose. It is a game that values player-driven storytelling, offering a world where choices matter even if their outcomes are not always fully realized. Its focus on political intrigue and moral ambiguity gives it a distinct identity within the genre, even if its execution is not entirely consistent. It does not aim to impress with scale or polish, but rather to provide a grounded and flexible experience that encourages players to engage with its systems on their own terms. In the end, Eisenwald: Blood of November is a modest but thoughtful expansion that reinforces the strengths of its predecessor while inheriting many of its weaknesses. It offers meaningful choices and a sense of agency, but is held back by repetitive combat, uneven pacing, and limited refinement. For players who appreciate slower, system-driven RPGs with an emphasis on realism and decision-making, it can be a worthwhile experience, even if it never fully realizes its potential. Rating: 6/10
