It's all about eggs^^ But there are also nuts and bananas xD Be careful when it blows O.O 10/10
I love eggs
I had a BLAST playing this one, I played the previous ones and really liked those too, but the addition of the bike makes it a lot different and feels super nice to steer around with, you really get to utilize leaning into corners and stuff to try and keep your egg in the basket. Can't wait to one day see some Multiplayer in it, but even without if you are just a little sweaty you can have a lot of hours of fun in this game, just beating the "Goal Score" - Not to even mention the leaderboards.. Yeah.. This game is super fun for what it is. I recommend it!
Eggcelerate! to the Tropics is a natural sequel to the existing Eggcelerate! franchise. It builds on top of the known driving mechanics from the previous games and adds a unique twist. In Eggcelerate! to the Tropics you are now required to deliver an egg to the finish line while driving a motorcycle. Steering will tilt the bike, allowing you to take sharp corners and counter the natural movement of the egg trying to fly out of the bowl. The level design is well thought of, offering great visuals, environment variety and an ever-increasing difficulty as you complete each level. There are several branching paths that take you to collect secrets and/or to allow for an easier completion of that level. The several paths per level might overwhelm a new player, as it's difficult to know at first it they will lead where you expect. My advice for these new players is to follow the main wider road on your first playthrough, as it is guaranteed to take you to the finish line. Feel free to explore each level once you get a little more comfortable on top of the bike! By far, the biggest feature in this iteration is the new leaderboard system. It allows you to quickly know where you rank on a specific level and which times you have to beat to rank up. You can also choose to race against the next-best or top-1 ghost on each level, allowing to learn new racing lines and battle your way to the top! There is currently a very healthy competition around getting the fastest times on each level. So if you like challenges, give it your best try and claim your bragging rights on our Discord! Good luck. It won't be easy. But it will be very rewarding.
Eggcelerate! to the Tropics is a challenging and fun racing game. I enjoyed the challenge and smashed a ton of eggs! Once you learn a track and remember its challenges you can over come the goal times. There are also 100 hidden gold turtles lurking in cool hidden spots for you to find. The world is fun, colourful and there are some really awesome little villages and vistas to enjoy as you are whipping around the track and smashing eggs! Recommended
I have been a big fan of the Eggcelerate series and this latest outing jumps up on the hardness (in the best fun way possible). So if you are looking for a game that takes a high level of racing skill and love to perfect to hit the top of the worldwide leaderboard, this is for you.
Great addition to the Eggcelerate series. I haven't been able to watch the development process as much for this instalment in the series, so the levels will be more of surprise and challenge to complete. I've enjoyed the previous two incarnations and this adds something new with the bike, giving a different dynamic to work with through the ever challenging levels. The tracks are longer than the previous games, giving you more of a challenge. It will frustrate and delight in equal measure. A game you can pick up for a quick blast or spend longer at trying to beat the times on the leaderboard. Thumbs up from me.
Like the two previous games in the Eggcelerate series, this game looks cute and starts off easy, but it gets challenging quick. The quick restart after you've broken an egg makes you go "just one more try" ... for many more tries than just one more. This game also brings some fresh improvements to the formula - driving a motorbike instead of a car may seem like a minor detail, but it feels completely different. It is somehow both easier and harder - you can balance the bike to keep the egg in the bowl during cornering, but also just as easily fling the egg out of the bowl and into a tree if you're not being careful. Many of the levels include secondary paths that you can explore to find collectables or just for the scenic routes. And speaking of scenery this is positively the prettiest game in the series. The environments of the levels are nicely detailed, there's bridges, caves, wide and narrow roads, villages and forests and much more. I've also tried the game on the Steam Deck, and other than a couple of slight fps drops from a few specific angles it performed well at 60 fps. If you enjoy quirky and challenging racing games you will probably enjoy this game.
I lurk a ton in Twitch chat, so I can't not recommend it, right? It's been fun following the dev process and those cooking streams! If you're on Twitch, come hang out! The tl;dr is give it a try if you like some punishing track time against yourself (ghost)/leaderboard times. Speaking of leaderboards, it would be cool if you could race against the #1 ghost. (update: this is possible through settings!) A major nit that I have with the game series is that it's as advertised (hard) with no accessibility modes, so you're going to be spending a ton of time learning how to manage the egg and track layout at the same time. It's unfortunate, because the tracks are well designed and fun to roam around. I don't need my name on a leaderboard, so an option to disable anything external would work just fine to create a relaxed experience for me (not hurt anyone else; just disable the timer). Think "don't leave the track" mode, where you will fail if you can't at least stay on the track, but a minor bump isn't going to wreck your experience. That'd allow for having some relaxed driving while learning the track (there's no map/overview camera).
amazing game full of challenges
