The game is normal, although the price is biting, although it depends on the region. In principle, the plot repeats the plot of the anime, although with some differences such as cut off scenes, for example, the absence of a scene where Shiki paws Rebecca and this makes the scene lose its meaning. Level enemies are generally something with something when you try to level up beyond the Blue Garden, and the enemies there are some kind of terminators who, if they don’t one-shot, will kill Shiki’s entire team in two hits, even if Wise is present, he does not guarantee a win fight. Someone will tell you to follow the plot, you will open all the characters, but according to the plot, the enemies also grow with the level. And the fight with the sister was not easy because I throw 3 bosses at you at once and try to survive somehow, and the sister also resurrects other bosses. In terms of leveling up, they went a little too far; if you defeat the enemies, then they lose little experience, which makes the grind stretch even more. The visual part is done well, the graphics have no complaints, the characters are well drawn, the city is done normally. There’s no point in talking about the combat because even before the game was released, it was clear in the video what the combat would be like. The characters’ clothes can be upgraded, but to do this you need to go through the story where you open the ship Zero Eden and have enough resources to upgrade the armor and so that it gives its bonuses. It’s fun to fly as Shiki. I can recommend the game to anime fans because others may not like it. Be sure to stick with it at first. This is a short review. The full review will come out a little later when the game is released. completed completely.
EDENS ZERO is an interesting and unique action game that's also very enjoyable to play. The combat system and plot are simple, and importantly, the entire experience is based on the anime of the same name. The game offers a wide range of characters to choose from, but unfortunately, they're not entirely well-balanced, and that's where the problem arises: some are simply weak and not as effective as others, or some are simply too strong. Generally, it's best to choose a few strong characters and that's it. You can buy or acquire new equipment and upgrade it. There's also a skill upgrade system, but your strength depends on your equipment, not the skills you've purchased with points. The game flows smoothly and stably, and there are no major issues. Therefore, I highly recommend the game. I also recommend buying it during sales, which are frequent on Steam.
Picked it up during the winter sale... Pros decent amount of content so far stays decently true to the story of the show. thats about it if you can get it on sale its worth it otherwise id wait cons combat is kind of boring (very repetitive even with different skills enemies are sponges and you cant dodge while doing combos which is the only way to do decent damage) performance issues (9800x3d 5080, i get 240FPS max settings inside and when not fighting, drops to as low as 120-80 when flying around) pop-in everywhere (again when flying around) not sure if its just my system (ive seen some others having the same problem, my GPU doesnt even get to 100% (get to ~80%) utilization so maybe the game is really cpu heavy for no reason?)
Finished Eden Zero, The Game Adapts the 2 seasons of the Anime and doesn’t go beyond that which kinda makes it disappointing since you only acquired like half of the skills that is available to you and it feels like you only played half of the experience when you get to Draken Joe and that’s it for the main story content where it’s only 10 Chapters in Game, And the experience is very dependent on how much you enjoy Hiro Mashima Work since personally for me I vastly prefer Rave Master over Fairy Tail and Eden Zero in terms of story quality, The Way the Game Adapts it is very fine and get all of the main story beats told in a concise manner if you read the manga or watch the anime The Combat Starts off very braindead when it comes to action RPG combat and my only reference is Persona 5 Strikers when it comes to games that plays like this, The Start of the gameplay really doesn’t get going until unlock the skill trees and additional party members and getting Weisz and Witch and Sister is where the combat got more enjoyable due to how they play and being able to deal a lot of damage, It’s odd you are able to dodge and do counters but you can’t really block which is odd design choice to me the special skills are easily abusable that it makes the difficulty very piss easy at points and the game is definitely lacking in difficulty modifiers At the end of the main story the game gives you Rebecca new overboost but the main story just ends there before you make use of it which goes to the problem of the length of the game in that beating the main story is too short to make use of a lot of the skills and abilities in the main story, Homura really breaks the game due to how good she is in combat and she specializes in taking down single enemies in her one sword style and multiple in her dual style and enhances her equipment just makes her too op and brings the combat back to being somewhat braindead Doing random encounters to grind and get money will have me just avoid them due to a lot low pay out with in game currency and the xp that trying to grind feels tedious The Level up system and scaling just feels pointless because other than health a lot of your stats is dependent on the equipment you have and being able to upgrade equipment to bust plenty sections of the main story regardless of the level scaling, The Game is very heavy on your stats and watching the numbers go up, It is decent that the changing the equipment is tied to customization and characters will stay like that during in game cutscenes which is actually kinda nice. The Enemies do kinda lack variety in terms of types where they’re grunts, snipers, and extra big enemies, And the Bosses fights range from tedious to piss easy depending on your stats and they can do ultimate attacks Free Roam Exploration just did not look interesting to engage with since that’s where all the side content is regulated too and the game’s issue with rewards and xp just make the content not worth engaging and the game is not really clear on how to raise up the adventurer rank and the quests are just not interesting to do with no tangible rewards The Performance was very at times where it constantly dips in open world and combat and that may be due to the unreal engine causing a lot of performance issues 6/10
Do you like the Edens Zero manga or anime This Action RPG is a great exploration of the Edens Zero, and takes a good chance to expand the world and lore a bit with a lot of fun side missions and things to do. Definitely worth getting if you are an Edens Zero fan
Game is decently enjoyable, Main game leads up to 10 chapters, but there are endgame content included with the Fairy Tail collab to keep you busy. Mostly mirrors how the anime shows their scenes with some parts cut out to keep it shorter. Problems I have is how the game can get repetitive with their enemies since some of them are just different colored versions of themselves using the same moves, but with higher stats. Another issue is how damage sponge\y they can get when you start encountering higher level enemies.
