Edge of Life: Eden Gate – A Complete Waste of Potential I just finished Edge of Life: Eden Gate, and I’m honestly so disappointed in how it turned out. I beat the whole thing in about three hours, and it felt like three hours of emotional investment that went absolutely nowhere. At first, the game completely hooked me. It looked like a mysterious, narrative-driven story with real emotional weight — you wake up alone in a hospital, the world outside is empty, and it’s hinted that you might have caused some kind of pandemic. As you explore, you piece together fragments of your memory, haunted by guilt and regret. The atmosphere is amazing, the tension is strong, and it really feels like it’s building toward something deep. Then things start to shift. Strange growths appear, a mysterious boy shows up, and some almost paranormal events begin happening. I thought, okay, maybe they’re mixing supernatural and scientific horror — that could be really interesting. The story teases ideas about unethical experiments, scientists “playing God,” protests, and a city collapsing under the weight of its own mistakes. It had so much potential. And then… nothing. All that buildup, all that world-building and emotional suspense — gone. The ending just throws it all away. It turns out the whole thing was basically a dream. That’s it. She wakes up, walks down the street, and the credits roll. No answers, no explanations, no closure. The virus, the strange growths, the paranormal hints — none of it means anything in the end. It honestly feels like the developers had something really special but gave up right at the finish line. The world, tone, and emotional setup were incredible, but the story’s conclusion completely undoes all of it. Final Verdict: Edge of Life: Eden Gate starts strong with a gripping atmosphere and an intriguing setup, but the ending ruins everything it builds. Jogo chato. Não existem desafios, praticamente, é somente andar. Não dá para entender a história. Não tem objetivos. O final não explica nada. Achei muito ruim.

Para um jogo indie os gráficos são bons e a trilha sonora é satisfatória. A experiência vale a pena, desde que o jogo seja encontrado em uma promoção, pois ele é muito curto. Não existe aventura, você apenas vai andando e descobrindo histórias sobre a personagem em uma atmosfera sinistra.
