Eclipse - 2nd Dawn for the Galaxy

As much as the game has own glitches, it's playable and allows you to practice strategies for the real games. Sometimes, after the crash the game can't 'resume'. What helped me to 'resume the tutorial' first, and after the resume for the game worked well.

Eclipse is great! This computer game is kind of janky/cheap though, but for $12 it was worth it for me to use as a tutorial to learn the game so that I could teach my boardgaming group how to play.

Game just doesn't hold up on a PC. A few repeated plays and this game becomes very boring.

If you haven't played Eclipse do yourself a favour and get this game. It is one of the most engaging boardgames ever made, and it's even more enjoyable on PC. And please don't torture yourself with the Tabletop simulator. While this version does have minor bugs, it still a far smoother and enjoyable experience than the TS jank.

Constant crashes and it doesnt do the boardgame justice. Boardgame is way more fun.

My highest recommendation. Any number of players (2-6) makes for a good game. Supreme replayability due to the randomness of technology availability and system exploration. The ultimate space 4X game. NOTE: If the game doesn't let you populate planets in a system you conquered, it's not a bug -- you had no more colony ships available.

Realistically this game doesnt deserve simply a thumb up or thumb down, there needs to be an 'average' score. The good: Its cheap, it seems to be a faithful representation of the rules and game mechanics (the reason I purchased it) and single player the seems to be challenging enough (albeit, for someone new to the game mechanics). The bad: The game initially seemed to be very stable, but my last three consecutive games have hung mid game and the game has simply be unable to resolve whatever problem it has, in effect resulting in restarting a whole new game. This is very annoying and I hope its a limited issue.

It's a great implementation of the physical board game, albeit the UI is a bit clunky at times, and it takes some getting used to find what you are looking for. For a quick way to just have a quick game however, this is very convenient. Recommended for those who love the board game.

Biggest piece of garbage i've ever installed on my computer, tutorial text is cut off on the right side. You need to copy and paste it in notepad to read it all. The GUI is beyond awful and the tutorial left me with more questions than when I started.

Board game is fun but dang is this software horrible.
