About
Echoes of Vasteria wraps the satisfying numbers-go-up core of an incremental game in a chilled, side-scrolling pixel world. Caleb never stops walking. He auto-battles monsters, auto-completes task bars, and keeps collecting resources whether you’re glued to the screen or miles away from your PC.
Auto-Walk, Auto-Fight – Caleb strolls through an endless overworld and handles combat on his own, freeing you to focus on strategy rather than click-spam.
Task Nodes – Trees, Plants, Ore, chests, and more appear along the path. When Caleb arrives, a progress bar fills; once complete you pocket the resources automatically.
Town Upgrades & Buffs – Spend resources on permanent stat boosts (Damage, Attack Speed, Health, Move Speed, Defense) or trade with NPCs for powerful time-limited buffs. Yes, there’s even a cat who’ll boost your health regen in return for fresh fish.
Quests That Matter – Turn in bulk resources or rack up enemy kills to finish quests, unlocking hefty rewards and improving your offline income multiplier.
Run, Return, Repeat – Each expedition pushes a little farther, fills a few more bars, and feeds richer data into the game’s in-depth stat tracker and skyline graphs.
Idle-Incremental Meets Side-Scroller – A relaxing auto-adventure you can leave running in a corner or min-max all evening.
Buff System – Offer materials to townsfolk for temporary bonuses that radically shape your next run.
Comprehensive Stats & Graphs – Distance travelled, resources gathered per run, DPS trends, task efficiency, kill counts, death logs, and more—visualised in clean, in-game charts.
Quest-Driven Offline Gains – The more quests you finish, the faster Caleb hauls in loot while you’re AFK.
Zero Micromanagement Combat – Monsters attack, Caleb retaliates, numbers fly—no hotkeys required.
Endlessly Progressing Hero – Every upgrade, buff, and quest stacks toward the simple goal: see how far the footsteps stretch this time.
If you love watching numbers climb, graphs fill, and progress bars pop—without constant input—Echoes of Vasteria will be marching on your second monitor for a long, long time.

I'll admit, I hesitantly got this game upon seeing one of the update posts included the use of AI as the banner of said post had very clear indications of AI use. The game itself is good, slow burner of an idle game, with little you can do actively aside from upgrading gear, turning in quests, changing your buffs, or mixing in the cauldron. I usually like the ability to play more hands on if possible in idle games but the ability to progress meaningfully while away for prolonged periods is nice. A lot of idle games require you to be there to push a button after a few minutes, maybe 15, 30 etc before it just stops all progress. Or, offline earnings being capped at an hour or so. I've just been keeping the game on personally, running in the background most of the time. Another part of the activity you're able to do is choosing the area your character should "run" or grind. Of which even upon completion(or death) it will repeat until you stop it from doing so. With each respective area having more of specific items that you'd need to complete quests and/or progress. Some areas have items from others, with an exception being the mines as it's enclosed you won't be able to fish or cut trees. But any other outdoor area would be able to do so with a lot less ores present than the mines for instance. Overall well made, but could have the option to do more actively instead of the game being so incredibly passive. As I said, I like the option to play so passively but I do think being able to play actively in some way should reward you for doing so, like giving bonuses or making you able to do things faster if you're manually doing so. As of now, automation and manually doing tasks are interchangable in speed so most of the time automating will be better, although not much you can do manually in the first place aside from upgrading, turning in quests, changing locations, and interacting with a small amount of npcs. Turns into a number go up game with good progression, just wish it was more fleshed out with more things to do. Because as of now, at my current progression the only thing I can do is just let it run through an area for hours and check back in. I will grow tired of it, and eventually just drop the game to never touch it again. I'm hoping maybe there's some next part of the game that there's more to but with 70 hours already put in it doesn't look or feel like there will be much else to do aside from maximizing stats and maybe achievement hunting. Overall, I'd stay starting off it feels like an 8/10. But, with some time eventually progression slows and there's so much less to do which lowers it to a 7 or just below. If you enjoy idle games with high automation, and not needing to manually do much, this game is great. For people like me? Idk, it's generally well made and I think you'd enjoy the game for quite a few hours, it wasn't until I got to 40-50 hours I started thinking about it more critically and started hoping for more to do.
the dev is playing other game instead of working on this one. i get that he has other life but its a PREMIUM GAME. this should be free if you are not gonna deliver on your promises. and lastly, the game gets stale fast. i just have this open on background and forget about it. there's really nothing to do after 50 hours.
solid enough for people who like this kinda thing. I was hoping for more meaningful decisions but didn't come upon any. it's just grinding to turn in quests or get upgrades. Fine for the genre but not precisely my thing Soft recommend if you're in to grindy idlers
Its way too idly.
Dont bother with this junk.
Positive ONLY if you get it on sale. Not worth $5 for the very limited gameplay. For achievement hunters, the last 2 achievements are unnecessarily grindy and add nothing to the endgame gameplay.
Great little game Cons Last few achievements are legit just annoying needing to leave the computer up for days as you craft upgrades and hope to die in combat
Fun little idle game with cute art and characters, interesting progression system (excited to see what is implemented next) and a really nice, active and responsive developer.
Its neat. It has a Demo. Check it out.
works fine! Nice updates...
