About
Echoes of Mystralia is a roguelite action-RPG where memory is power. Craft your own spells, refine your tactics, and carve your path through a world trapped in the horrors of its past.
Play as Mazarim, a Watcher tasked with protecting the Cycle of Memories. Explore the lands of Mystralia, meet its lost souls, and face the Shadows of the Past. Will you save the World’s Memory before it disappears into the Rift?
Thunderbursts, freezing tornadoes, fire vortices. If you can imagine it, you can craft it. Memories are your only weapon against the Shadows of the Past. Combine them, reorder them, and watch your spell take shape right in front of you.
Discover a world haunted by its past, where people are reliving the horrors of their own history. Every path has its challenges, its encounters, and its rewards. And your journey is yours to command.
Every journey ends with a return to the Azimuth Temple. Up there, Watchers can develop their skills, change their combat approach, or simply enjoy the pearls of wisdom of a millennia-old dragon.
A Rift has opened in the Cycle of Memories. As a Watcher, it falls to you to save the World’s Memory. Divinities, primordial Guardians, and peoples scarred by war and exploitation: a vast world unfolds before you. Only you can uncover its hidden truths.

I was planning to play this game only on the next weekend but seeing it on mixed reviews is a crime, had to buy it asap to give it a positive recommendation, the game is amazing, a perfect mix of noite, hades and wizard of the legend 1
The game is really well made and a lot of fun but its way too easy and too short unfortunately. i finished the game on my 5th run with a completely broken build, and i had like 10% of the skilltree leveld. So now i killed every boss and haven´t even used all abilities at all. the price of the game is good but the content, at least for me, was far too little. There is so much potential in this game for further progression but at this point im just sitting here want to play more but there is no reason to play anymore. please expand the game with a major content update and I´ll be back in no time. nonetheless the game is great and very fun so it´s still worth it.

Fun
The game is pretty easy and simple to get into and I've been playing it since the demo. The mechanics are responsive and the character doesn't feel clunky. This game is like a chill bullet hell game and I enjoy that aspect of it. The general nature of nit knowing what might pop up on the list of items is awesome, and the FACT that you don't have to ptp, at the moment, is FANTASTIC! I have a slight issue in that the bosses become predictable, but that is a minor inconvenience at best. The overall repeatability is great.
This game needs more cooking and content. The combat is fun and fluid, so I have hope that at one point this game will be awesome. But for now is too early EA IMO.
Difficulty is fair. The issue is most of the major spell-altering stuff is complete bait because it reduces your damage and thus bad. So even if your spell looks cool and covers the screen it usually means you’re doing 0 damage. This is probably why people are complaining about difficulty.
9.3/10 Game though. Absolute Blast. Great game, just wish it wasn't so RNG. Sometimes I get nothing but "If at full HP (or have certain shield amount) then this" when low health, and a lot of the memories are pretty worthless. (Maybe a workshop or me being a better player would fix these, but the rest are actual annoyances.) 1. Having story locked behind easily missed RNG (that gets lower odds every time you unlock a new place) is a bit annoying, being able to increase odds of a specific encounter would be handy. 2. The spells are 4 spells, each having 3 nearly identical variants, and one unusual one with less focus. this is fine, except the base option is the best for all but the punch. (The rock is op) There's no real reason to buy new ones other than just to try them out. (Like, the aqua element for the lighting spell does ONLY 10 DAMAGE, and the freeze isn't long enough to outweigh it's damage loss.) It'd be probably good to make them a little more varied? 3. For a game about crafting your own spells, there isn't a single memory that: changes an element's type, modifies the base spell in a significant way other than spread or path, increases elemental damage, nor any that mess with focus points. 4. There should really not be a reduction on focus on the special spells. Having only 4 slots makes a spell nearly unusable, regardless of potential. And now actual problems. 1. The "casts a boulder" spell works only when behind another spell, never before. 2. Once you unlock one of the tech options that can swap, it'll keep displaying the icon for "new unlock available" even though you don't have an unlock available.
fun, not buggy, and has good performance. yet another EA release that's 10x better than full priced AAA slop! indies ftw! (but really, yes, it's a blast. I'm not particularly good at roguelites and have felt like I'm making good progress so I'm not sure where the difficulty complaints are coming from). story is whatever, but Hades is literally the only roguelite that's worth following the story for imo, so it's a non-issue to me.
Good Game! runs smooth a lot of different combo's
