Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 364/day in the week to Jul 17 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Eastward is a beautifully detailed and charming adventure game, from Shanghai-based indie developers, Pixpil.
In the near-future, society is starting to collapse, and the human population is at an all-time low. A deadly toxic presence has spread across the land, destroying and devouring everything in its path.
Those who could escape the miasma flocked to underground villages to start a new life. But for a hardworking miner and a mysterious young girl, the hope of a thriving outside world beckons…
Escape the tyrannical clutches of Potcrock Isle's subterranean society and join Eastward’s unlikely duo on an exciting adventure to the land above! Discover beautiful yet bizarre settlements and make new friends as you travel across the world by rail.
Contains adult humour and some mature themes.
Discover the wonderfully weird world of Eastward. Climb aboard the cross-country railway which spans this decaying continent, stopping off to explore its bustling towns, curious campsites and shady forests.
Fend off peculiar monsters and ferocious bosses with John’s weapon of choice - be it a flamethrower, cog-shooter or your trusty ol’ frying pan. Feeling merciful? Try temporarily stunning them with Sam’s kinetic blast.
Switch between John and Sam to solve environmental puzzles and fight your way through formidable dungeons. Separate the duo to unlock hidden paths or stick together as you traverse a perilous landscape.
Get to know a quirky cast of characters with oodles of personality! Immerse yourself in a heartwarming story-driven adventure, packed with fun and wacky humour.
Create deliciously authentic Eastwardian cuisine using (mostly) fresh, organic ingredients from toxic forests, potcrab farms and abandoned malls. These delicacies will grant health bonuses, power boosts and secret boons.
Bop along to a wonderfully upbeat soundtrack composed by Joel Corelitz (Death Stranding, Hohokum, The Unfinished Swan), with sound design from Irish studio, Hyperduck Soundworks (Dust: An Elysian Tail, Kingdom Rush)

⭐ Eastward – A Pixel-Art Gem With Heart, Mystery, and Pure Nostalgia ⭐ 🕹️ A magical journey I’ll never forget As a big fan of pixel art and anime-style storytelling, Eastward completely won me over from the first moment 🎨💖. The whole vibe gave me that nostalgic PS1 storytelling energy back when games were all about emotional journeys, unique characters, and a world full of personality ✨📼. Sam was such a standout character bright, powerful, adorable, and full of energy 🌟💚. Every scene with her felt alive. And John… honestly, I really liked him a lot 🛠️💙 and I actually wish we could’ve seen more of his perspective and how he found Sam because I know there’s a deeper, emotional story there. I kept wishing the game gave him more dialogue. Not because he’s lacking but because he’s interesting. I wanted to know more about him, more about why him, and especially: ✨ How did he find Sam? ✨ Why was he chosen for this role? ✨Who is he? There are some missing backstory pieces between Sam and John that I really wanted to explore emotional moments that could’ve added even more depth to their bond 😭💛. The side characters were great too full of flavor, charm, and personality. Some of them made me wish we had extra chapters just to see more of their pasts and how they became who they are ❤️. Gameplay-wise, the adventure was sooo fun: ✔️ Creative puzzles ✔️ Cute mini-games ✔️ Cozy exploration ✔️ Beautiful world-building Every part felt handcrafted with love 🎮💫 The only chapter that felt a bit off for me was the monkey part 🐒😅 not bad, but it didn’t feel as important as the rest. I personally would’ve loved to use that time to dive deeper into characters like Isabel and Ulva, or even more backstory between John and Sam. Overall? An unforgettable, emotional journey. Gorgeous art, soulful storytelling, lovable characters, and a world that stays with you long after the credits roll 🌈💛 Highly recommended for anyone who loves pixel art, deep stories, or unique worlds full of heart and mystery ✨🎮💕
