It's fairly in depth, and has a ton of vocabulary both common and uncommon, and this has been the most helpful game for genuine learning, but there are a handful of issues that have been frustrating me to no end. The controls themselves are quite bad- it's very easy to click on things by accident when doing the find test for example, and those mis-clicks both interrupt mastery and revert progress on already mastered words. Using a laptop mouse, I've already mastered and then un-mastered words simply due to mis-clicks caused by camera movement controls. Also, it's very unforgiving with spelling. I'm learning German, but do not have a German keyboard. It feels like I'm putting in nuclear launch codes every time i need a special character like ß or ä, which are acceptable to replace with ss and ae respectively, in legitimate German writing, but are not accepted by the game. not accepting u in place of ü is understandable, but ue should be accepted. There are also many times it'll mark words as incorrect, only to give the exact same answer as the correct one. The game will ask for groß. I type groß. It gets marked wrong, and corrected with groß. Edit: I come back with a genuine concern to add to the list. There are some vocabulary words that are straight up misspelled. I had a German friend watch me play this over stream and bro nearly lost his mind over some of the errors.

This is the next level slop. I mean, you can find games made with mistakes due to the lack of experience, but this game is just made by lazyass people... or AI, i'm not sure. Like, the core mechanic is just two actions: poin-n-click on objects, and text input. And they didn't even test the input! It doesn't work, it truncs out sentences randomly, and randomly accepts or doesn't accept nonstandard symbols (umlauts or kanji). I mean, how lazy can you be to not just try to start your own game, I'm not even talking about trying it fully! I honestly tried to make a list of bugs to report them later, but when the number went beyond 60 I gave up. --- Besides being broken and not allowing you to do what you're supposed to do, it has language mistakes. Yep, they screwed up here too. I mean, if you see a 'multilanguage' game you can already assume that it was done with some kind of automation, but MY GOODNESS how screwed up that thing is. It reaches the point where, for example, in Japanese course the have a word written in kanji one way, lower it's reading is written the other way, aaand the TTS voice says it in the third way :) German course have similar problems. Mini-games, besides being absolutely not intuitive sometimes bugs out. Also the speech bubbles prevent you from clicking on things you're supposed to click lol. aand in somegames you have to click on object couple of pixel wide... and they're moving by the way. To be honest, I would never upload such slop if I were a developer. It'd be super humilating. It's not even half-done, it's not done at all. I bet it's never been tested even for a minute.
It's not going to give you everything to learn a language. I'm a little afraid that they might've abandoned the project, as there are still several bugs that were reported well over a year ago and there's been little in the way of updates for a while. However, it's free, and it's a good supplement to help you get those mental connections wired up for some common vocabulary in your target language. For Linux users, I recommend running this through Proton even if it runs natively if you're going to be learning a language like Chinese or Japanese, as it seems to have some difficulty showing the kana/kanji/hanzi in the native vesion.
The combat is UNBEARABLY slow. Find a different game or app for learning languages because things move intolerably slow in this game.
Free and better than the paid alternative. No updates for a while, so I presume the game is no longer being updated. If it does get updated, I will donate on patreon.
What an incredible gift! It's so incredibly kind to offer this game for free! I will start by mentioning that my review is based on my experience as a native English speaker attempting to learn Vietnamese. In the past I have learned a very basic level of Japanese which I have mostly forgotten now, I currently maintain just enough Mandarin for some simple survival phrases, and I wish I had known about or had access to this game in my earlier language studying days. This works better for me than any app I've ever paid for when it comes to grasping vocabulary! I am currently learning some Vietnamese and this blows the language app I paid for out of the water for beginners! Often apps will teach you vocabulary using sentences that you can't understand yet. It can be very overwhelming when you feel like you need to learn 5 other words just to learn the one they are trying to teach with an example sentence! This game makes you feel like a child learning vocabulary through the world in front of you. I'm only in the beginning of the game, taking my time to retest myself on words. The idea of selecting objects in the environment to add to a list to later be tested on is absolutely brilliant! I'm not sure what I will think of the game a few more hours in, but for learning vocabulary with a game, this is so organic. It tests you by bringing up a word you have saved to your list and makes you go and find it in the environment! It really hits home for me because I have spent SO much money on various studying materials, and nothing taught me this fast! 10/10 If you are new to a language or a novice who wants to fill in gaps in vocabulary, this is such an awesome tool. You can click on almost any little thing to find out what it is in various languages! I think anyone can learn a lot when starting a new language. Even if you only play for 10-15 minutes per day. I can't believe this is free!
I unisntalled the game after i did install again, But my saves not came back. It wants account and mail adress but it wasnt like that before. Where is my game saves. so strange. Normaly it has to been save the steam system.

Using this to learn Spanish and Chinese, really good game for practicing a new language and lets you practice it in areas that may be hard to do so otherwise.
i really like this game. i think its more like, made for kids or something, but i learn things slowly so it really helps that i can keep going back to help remind myself some of the words im forgetting. i like that its free too. the graphics are also cute, which is really nice cause you learn things by clicking on things you see in the world. the game is a little loud sometimes when i open it though.
