This game is such a fresh take on DW franchise. By adding an original character I do understand it will make the game stray even further from historical storytelling and add more fantasy to it, but for the formula they are making in this game I think it works quite well. The gameplay is like mixing hack and slash with ARPG aspect. They took what they learned from DW9 and make the polished version for Origins. From what I've experienced, from start to finish I had fun and enjoyed all the levels. The utilization of Tactics is also quite nice and can be a game changer for some tougher battles. There are character models changes that I really like and there might be few that I am not a big fan of, but for the most part they are looking good. And of course, it's not Dynasty Warriors if the game doesn't have good music. I really like the OSTs. The soothing classical Chinese instrumental, the rock battle theme, and the rearrangement of old DW music. My issue with the game is, with this formula there are only so much they can do to keep the game's novelty, and somehow I feel like the post-endgame part has "content for the sake of content" issue. The game became too grindy, and you have to do stuff repetitively. Repetitive is fine, but repetitively grindy isn't, especially since the game is designed to be an offline single player game, and I never really like when the game designed to be like this. I believe there are more creative ways to make the post-endgame more enjoyable.
I like this game, but the game program crashes frequently, which drives me crazy.
nice
