Awesome game, it's almost 1 to 1 wtih Command & Conquer 1 Tiberium Dawn but it's own take on it and really difficult like it should be and units feels like good, same for buildings, really looking forward for when it's full done also almost forgot the music is good too, so recommended it but remember it's Early Access so still alot of works there needs to be done also you easy talk with the developer team
Great game 10/10 this should be waaaay more popular!!!
Very good, exelent, seen noting like it for more than 25yrs. First ever decent dune2, kknd1 and original c&c sequal, a fullon successor! hc old scool, og title!
playable on steam but game is nedlessy hard for no reason, too much micromanaging needed. more like starcraft 1. the story is kinda bad too, from the trailers i tought we fight these creatures and maybe some rebels or cultists helping them. nah its humans urning others into that some fighting side by side no third faction therefore and all of them happy to help in that cause, sry but that such a bad plot
good
Dying Breed is a brilliant throwback to classic RTS gameplay. Fast base-building, great units, and constant action — it hits that Command & Conquer itch perfectly without feeling like a copy. The factions are fun to play, the missions stay varied, and the game has that “just one more match” pull that keeps you up way too late.
Sorry about the gameplay time. Offline mode does not bother to track it as playtime:
Maybe If You Like C&C Alot?
To keep things short and sweet: Dying Breed reached out to me while I was playing through Repterra (which you should check out!). The developers asked me to take a look at Dying Breed, a game that had already been sitting on my backlog for some time. Eventually, I bumped it to the top of my list during some downtime. After giving it a test drive, I was immediately disappointed by how shallow and linear the gameplay felt. As someone who occasionally QA tests games, I’m no stranger to finding exploits, bugs, or unexpected features. The long story short is this. Every single map as the villain faction boils down to the same formula: build a factory, build a barracks, clone 10 infantry, sell the factory for another factory, get refunded about 1600 of the 1900 Substance D, rinse and repeat. Send your army to take out the enemy base, move on. That’s it. No walls, no real defense, just buy, sell, buy, sell, invade. This is effective because selling your factory refunds most of the purchase price and grants you two free infantry units. Using this strategy, you can breeze through every stage. It plays like Command & Conquer, feels like Command & Conquer, but it is inferior in every single way. The silver lining of the game would be the live skits that seem pulled right out of a 1990s intermission commercial for something like GI Joe, really digged them, when they functioned properly. Either way, not enough content here or depth to really put up a challenge.
