About
DWELL is a first-person psychological horror game about being stranded overnight in a remote mountain region where familiar spaces slowly turn strange, and every ordinary detail starts to feel wrong.
Minh Thu, a 26-year-old young woman trying to escape the pressure of her life, drives deep into the mountains for a quiet break. When her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, she’s forced to take shelter in a stranger’s house on the edge of a dark forest. As the night goes on and the atmosphere grows increasingly unsettling, she begins to suspect something out there is watching—and she might only survive if you make the right choices.
This game is primarily a first-person narrative walking simulator focused on slow-burn tension, exploration, light environmental puzzles, and tense chase-and-hide sequences instead of combat.
Estimated playtime: ~1.5 hours (depending on exploration).
Atmospheric psychological horror set in a remote, grounded mountain environment.
Story-driven experience with a strong focus on mood, unease, and small details.
Explore a strange house and the surrounding forest at night.
Light environmental puzzles and clue-finding through notes, objects, and numbers.
Intense chase and hiding moments where you can only run, hide, and hope you weren’t seen.
No combat or power fantasy—just limited light, vulnerability, and growing dread.
Multi-language support for UI and subtitles.

I do think this game under delivered for $6 given how basic this game was. The story is very linear with the atmosphere being fog, trees, and bushes for 80% of the game. The end with the tree monster was easy to navigate and easy to beat. The "Bad Ending" just ends the game abruptly in a really strange spot that left me wondering, "I beat it?" With how basic the game was, I really don't want to go back, replay the game, and look for the collectables. Matter of fact, the Steam Store page's video show casing this game is what led me to buy it, but it should have included the walking sim part. IMO. Achievement hunters - Sorry! You have to replay part of the game to get all of the achievements. Enjoy the walking sim!
Was excited to play this game when I saw it's from Vietnam and thought this would be good but nah, it's not for me. I dislike how slow our character to get from point A to B. It takes so long to get there and this is even if I'm sprinting. The jumpscares were good, wasn't expecting them to appear at some times and I got the bad ending. Not sure how to get the good ending but I gave up eventually, not knowing what to do. Overall, I don't recommend this game to anyone like there are way better walking simulator horror games than this even though I really like Asian horror games.
