About
VHS Collection: Buried Alive is a psychological horror experience that immerses players in a slow-burning descent into guilt, grief, and paranoia. Set in the fog-covered, snow-drenched town of Alebha, the game follows David, a man trying to escape the shadows of his past by starting a new life—only to find those shadows have followed him.
After taking a quiet job as an overnight graveyard security guard, David hopes the isolation will bring peace. But as the nights go on, peace is the last thing he finds. Disturbing dreams begin to bleed into reality. Whispers echo through the cemetery. Shapes move in the fog. Snow falls endlessly, muffling sounds that shouldn’t exist. And beneath it all lies something buried—something that refuses to stay dead.
As David’s mind begins to unravel, hallucinations become harder to distinguish from the truth. Memories resurface in fragmented nightmares, and a presence lurks in the distance, watching. Each night reveals more of Alebha’s dark history, and more of David’s internal torment.
The game features a gritty VHS-inspired visual style, with analog distortion, grainy textures, and flickering effects that intensify the sense of disorientation. The snowy, fog-filled streets and desolate cemetery are brought to life through chilling ambient sound and oppressive atmosphere.

It's a must play for psychological horror fans! I had a lot of fun playing it!
Really nice game with a lot of random features and details throughout the map and story line, i had fun playing it!! gave me good scares for sure :)
This game made me laugh, but I have to be so clear, this game is not good at all. The game softlocked several times doing basic functions, crumbled multiple times with other bugs such as invisible walls, barely is written in coherent english, has awful pacing, the game is a mess. It did make me laugh and I did enjoy playing it, but it's really really rough. The storytelling is also abysmal. I liked the music and I liked many of the voice actors, especially the voice of the mom in the graveyard. I thought that voice actress did an actual really good job.
Great Game. Its funny good there are some bugs but not that much. Dark is the best cat
Can't progress past chapter 4 seeing as how putting GROCERY BAGS in my car makes my car do backflips into the center of the earth https://www.twitch.tv/norome__/clip/DepressedCrunchyFiddleheadsTBTacoRight-wDulUH5RTeoIf9QK
better than fears to fathom tbh
Really fun semi long horror game. I completed the game in like ~80 mins and had fun doing so. Really enjoyed the story it was trying to tell with only small minor hicups. Only thing that I would critizise is the amount of invisible walls.
This was a good game, but after several failed attempts, I just give up. The DEV said he updated the game and fixed them, which I am grateful for him to address it in the community thread, but it was still a no go. I will move on to the next game for my stream, but I think this has great potential for a great game, at least what little I was able to experience.
Very crazy but cool experience. The music, story, and overall world in this game was amazing. The only small issue I have with the game is the loading takes quite a bit but that could possibly be on my end. Overall I enjoyed this. https://youtu.be/Opla8OuR8XQ
VHS Collection: Buried Alive This is the second entry in the VHS Collection series, and I’m genuinely grateful to Notick for sending me a copy. I had a great time with both titles. The first game was short, goofy, and free, and set the tone for the bizarre humor this series leans into. This second game is a massive improvement in almost every direction. The map is larger, the cast is more varied, and nearly everything is voice-acted. The TV segments hit the same weird charm as the first game, and the music carries that authentic retro vibe. It’s clear a lot more time, care, and polish went into scaling up the experience while keeping the series’ personality intact. I understand why some players found the story confusing. It definitely leans into fever-dream logic with its flashbacks and fragmented pacing, but everything becomes coherent by the final stretch. It’s strange, sure, but intentionally so. I did run into a couple issues. Changing the radio station froze the game briefly and once even flipped my car, though the problem vanished after reloading the chapter. Load times between chapters or entering buildings can drag, sometimes taking a minute or two and feeling reminiscent of old Fallout screens. Even with these hiccups, the game delivers. For five dollars—and sometimes free—it’s easy to recommend. Great vibes, great music, a few fun scares, and unmistakably quality Rick Show energy. — The Ember Archives https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45601239/
