Dusty Revenge:Co-Op Edition

Another review here rather justly called [i]Dusty Revenge[/i] "bundle filler." And that's certainly how I got it. But it's [b]good[/b] bundle filler. Not great, just good. It's a side-scrolling, platforming beat-'em-up with fairly tight controls and interesting combos for the primary character. There's a novel mechanism for calling in support fire from offscreen by quickly toggling out to the support character and back. The story is an unapologetically overwrought Western tale of revenge, with furries. Level play isn't overly tough, but the bosses are hard enough that they demand mastery of the combo system -- you can't button-mash your way past them. Overall, [i]Dusty Revenge[/i] is a solidly-crafted B-tier game. AAA hits like [i]Elden Ring[/i] don't need to worry about competition here, but such games aren't playing in the same league to begin with. If you get this in a bundle, it's worth playing. When it drops to $5 or less, as it regularly does, it's even worth buying.
