For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
One of, if not THE, best roguelike match 3 games

As of writing this, I am maxing out the 5th class,
The Greedy
, and I have to say this game has one of the best match-3 game loops I have played. It is so addictive to build your class with all the RNG and roguelite elements. Trying to find the perfect combo of spells and artifacts, alongside the perks of a chosen class is mesmerizing and leaves me wanting more and more each and every time. Yes, there is no story, and the UI is barebones, but sometimes that's all you need to make an addictive gaming experience. It's sometimes worth it to sift through match-3 tag money-laundering scams on Steam to find such gems of a game. 10/10 would listen to the full asmr video of enemies grunting when matching them.
Edit from 2025
After months of enjoying the game and observing the gaming industry. I dare to say this is Balatro, before Balatro was even out. It is criminal, that Dungeon Wizards does not have nearly the same popularity! I don't often play Match 3 Games, but I really do enjoy this one! It is quite addicting, time flies by when you are having fun in the dephts of the dungeon ;) Always so satisfying when I get to connect a lot of tiles, also there are a bunch of very thought through spells and items, great job on balancing all of this out! Some comments said the game is laggy or doesn't run smoothly, I honestly can say I don't have any of these Problems, even when I watch Twitch or Youtube while playing. Definitely recommend, great little gem that will be absolutely worth your time if you enjoy some good Match 3!
another ugly rogueish combat match-3. a bit dull and grindy, not as fun as dungeons & jewels, for instance, but it's okay. no real-time elements here at all, just draw lines over as many tiles as you can, diagonally too. only holding the mouse button works, click-click doesn't. right click cancels the current selection as long as left is still held. only endless mode and a single class is available initially, with 3 secretive difficulty settings, an optional tutorial and tooltips on mouseover. that's where it shows, only after starting a game, that difficulty affects xp gain. leveling your player profile unlocks more classes, relics (passive bonus), spells, spell slots and some more regulated challenges that were added a year after release. individual classes are also leveled. 73 is the player cap but by 27 everything will be unlocked, the rest is just the occasional new relic or smaller bonus. matching potions heals, gives xp, reduces spell cooldown or posions. they can be mixed for a match. filling the coin meter offers a choice of relics for the run, only the name is shown the first time. if it comes up again and you already have it, it gets upgraded. filling the rune meter provides spells, or upgrades one to have a shorter cooldown if you filled all the slots. 3 spell types, water is effective against fire, etc. using one applies that element to newly appearing sword tiles. to get xp by defeating enemies, who attack every turn after they appear, match swords and include skulls anywhere. even a sword-skull-skull combo works. bosses appear after every x turns, indicated on top, along with their magic type. based on that an attack can be effective, ineffective or meh. bosses, which are just skulls with better stats, have abilities and a difficulty rating between f and s instead of something more straightforward. dinging means an attribute can be increased for the run, whether you want more damage, hp, healing, or faster filling of one of the meters. there's also a handy eye-con to hide the level up screen and some others and gaze at the board. losing all hp means game over with a quick summary. settings cover the basics and are available anytime. separate volumes, resolutions in a drop-down menu (as they should be), only happening after applying them, plus windowed mode, a couple of languages and toggles for fast animations and enemy icons always showing what the numbers mean. not sure why you'd want to turn the latter off. mid-run progress is saved on exit and challenges are stored separately from endless mode. high scores are kept track of and there's a collections section showcasing all the unlocked stuff, including achievements. like I said, there are better and cheaper alternatives, some with a demo (all applies to d&j linked above), but this ain't too bad if you want more of the similar and catch it half off the full 7 eur.
For me, this is a game of nostalgia. Long ago (and I will admit to longingly looking at it way at the bottom of my iPhone purchases) I played a game called "Dungeon Raid". I'm going to tell you "no, this isn't a game of the highest graphics" and if you are just doing the basics match 3, it will likely be rather frustrating since there is more to the game. It's not perfect, nor a 100% reimplementation of the game that it draws inspiration from (I miss perks and flaws and the race + class combo) - but it is a good game that scratches a bit of the old itch of one of the most perfect match 3 games that was ever written.
I avoided this game because of how it looked, but that was a mistake. I thought I didn't like match 3 but this works. Good job
This is a surprisingly engaging little matching game with great replayability to it because of the number of different types of bonuses and power-ups you can choose from. Sometimes, it seems as if the RNG comes after you directly, but beyond that, there is definitely the sense that your skills and strategy can improve your survival beyond that.
This is an addictive little puzzler. It provides just enough challenge to keep you thinking while remaining soothing. I'll be unwinding with this game for a long time to come.
Very good Puzzle Match 3 Game. There is not a lot to say , just watch the Videos from the Steam Page, it shows you pretty much what to expect.
I'm writing this review after completing my 100% of this beautiful game. It's been ages since I've played these Match3 games, I used to spend lots of time on Puzzle Quest 1. This game has really reawakened my nostalgia and love for these Match3 puzzle RPGgames. This game has a very simplistic style and the premise / rules are very straight forward. But once you level up the classes, crank up the difficulty and dive into the challenges, it reveals itself as a surprisingly strategic title I've spent more evenings on than I ever thought I'd would. Now I need a part 2.
Good game. Easy to learn, hard to master, good meta progression and achievements - two thumbs up!
