Real fast for people that didnt read the description fully like me, THIS IS NOT JUST A REVERSE SPACE INVADERS. Its incredibly political/metaphorical by relating to police brutality. Game is still good tho The game starts normal at first, but as it progresses it gets a lot worse: -In the game, your goal is to steer the crowd of people correctly so that only the yellow people are shot. You have a quota that grows over time, but after the 3rd level the quota is bigger than how many yellow people there really are. This means that you have to kill the innocent people in the crowd to progress. -You have different messages each time someone is killed, depending on whether they were yellow or not. At first, it's simple supportable messages like "No to crime" when a yellow person is killed or just silence when any other is killed. However, it gets harsher as time goes on, scaling up to simply and bluntly insulting the yellow people or denying that the cop killed an innocent person. -At the end of each level, you have a list on the people you killed and their occupation or crime. In the first levels, they are understandable crimes like murder and drug dealing, but the progressing levels give less intense "crimes" like loitering or just not wearing a shirt. In the final levels, they just become just like the other people and are listed as students and homeless men. -The final level requires you to kill only yourself, as there is only one person needed for the quota and you are the only person left. There is no way to avoid it, and when you do, it asks you of your job and name. When you enter both things, it replaces your occupation with "addict" and claims that you were shot for resisting arrest. Real cool game, definitely not what I expected. 7/10.
This is honestly really interesting as a game. it has a strong political message, and is a visual metaphor for the inequality of police brutality that hides behind an innocent looking 80s arcade game. You start off with a controllable crowd, with a police officer firing into aforementioned crowd. Your job is to steer the crowd in such a way that the bullets only hit the yellow members of the crowd. I'm sure that you can already see the metaphor. That metaphor only becomes more apparent as the messages that your character says in reaction to the deaths of these people become harsher and harsher as time goes on. At the end of each night, it shows the names of the people who died that night, as well as their crimes, with innocent people having their job shown instead. as the game goes on, the crimes get less and less severe, going from murder and drug dealing to loitering and not wearing a shirt, and eventually becoming the occupations of the normal people. the big kick is the quota marker. The quota shows how many people the officer has to kill that night to win. at the beginning, the quota matches the number of guilty people are in the crowd, but eventually, that quota gets higher, meaning that you literally have to kill off innocents so that the officer can meet his quota. On the final stage, you are alone with the officer. there is no time limit, and his quota is one. there isnt any way off the screen. Once you get hit, it has you input your first name, last name and occupation. it then replaces your occupation with addict and says that you were shot for resisting arrest. This game's message is incredibly strong and it's delivery is very powerful and very eerie. the atmosphere is genuinely inredibly unnerving, with no music and the only sound being the gun firing, and the dead crowd members lying in a pool of their own blood after being shot. I cannot recommend this game enough, even if it is uncomfortable to play. 10/10. Black Lives Matter, systemic racism and bias are real, the problem is only getting worse and if you think otherwise I encourage you to do more investigation into why people are so angry right now. Stay safe out there.
At first glance, a "reverse space shooter" turned out to be a game about the struggle against police brutality, unnecessary killings, and so on. Personally, I don't have the knowledge to confirm these points, but I sure do hope that if things are like this in the Philippines, they will get better. The gameplay part was good overall.
Duloga is an arcade like game where you must move a crowd of people and make the cop shoot the bad guys, which are the orange people. Slowly as you progress you start getting a quota of people to kill and not as many criminals to kill. This results in you having to kill innocent people making you a criminal as well making the cop have no option but to shoot you as well. This game is fun and reminds me of the type of games you would play in arcades for it's simple mechanics makes for a good time.
Fascinating game that uses simple game design to show how easy it is to support state-sanctioned murder of innocents.
Kort, simpel spel. Vertelt het verhaal door eenvoudige gameplay. Geen P2W maar een kort, echt gratis spel.
Looking for a casual game, saw the tag and downloaded it, had fun until mid-game, finished my first playthrough and left me in deep thought. Good game.
I honestly had no idea why I picked this game. It was free and it had very positive reviews, and the graphics looked colorful, so i thought, why not? This is not a very deep or long experience, but it's really fun especially when you go in completely blind, so just download it and give it a spin. 8/10
