Puzzle game with a simple rotating mechanic that keeps things fresh by adding new features to each area. The main premise is simple to understand: you must get the duck to the stage's objective. It begins with a flag and then changes with each new surroundings (cup of coffee, leaf, etc.). Despite the duck's ability to jump, it frequently falls short of reaching higher places. That is why you will need to employ the game's major feature, rotating rooms. A room can be turned left or right. The only requirement is that the duck must stand on the ground; you cannot cheat by rotating while jumping. Another strategy to avoid simple solutions is that when you rotate, the duck falls straight down and does not allow for air control. The final tricky part that simply achieving the objective is not enough. You also need to turn the room properly. Because rooms are not closed, it is easy to make mistakes and fall outside of the playing field. This kills you instantaneously, forcing you to retry the puzzle or save yourself using undo. However, undo only works for the latest move and does not allow you to go all the way back. Since you can push something out of reach or get stuck, undo isn’t very useful. The game takes you through six worlds (excluding tutorial world), each of which has around 10 stages. There are 65 stages in total, with each one becoming more difficult as mechanics and obstacles are added. For example, the garden adds pushable block, the temple coins that open skull doors, then sticky blocks, and so on. The solution in later stages is to stand between things when turning. You can’t get crushed, and you can move objects around on your head. Mechanics occasionally appear in other level packs, but you will not be overwhelmed. Especially since there are no collectibles or bonuses that require you to play a stage more than once.
Duckthing's Rolling Rooms is a puzzle platformer where you have to reach the finish by rotating the room. That's basically the whole premise — there's no plot and no characters. There are 6 worlds and 65 levels. The levels are average in difficulty; usually I solve them either in a few seconds, or in a few minutes. There are no hints, but you can use Restart and Undo if you're stuck. Because of game's cute art and simple concept, it's very easy to like it. A great choice if you enjoy puzzles or looking for a game to kill some time. Duckthing's Rolling Rooms is a fun and quirky puzzle platformer where you guide Duckthing through levels by rotating entire rooms. With 6 unique thematic islands, each containing around 10 levels, the game introduces fresh mechanics, keeping the gameplay exciting and varied. This variety ensures that the experience never feels repetitive, keeping you hooked from start to finish.
Pros:
- unique character design – Duckthing is silly, weird, and instantly likeable, making it thoroughly entertaining to play with - pretty artstyle – the visual design uses bold, flat colours and simple geometric shapes to create a playful and approachable aesthetic that evokes a sense of childlike creativity - lots of levels – with more than 60 creatively designed levels, there’s plenty of content to enjoy - varied mechanics – each island brings something new to the table, with new gameplay elements that keep things interesting – the variety of mechanics ensures that you’re never stuck in a routine
Cons:
- controls – the keys to rotate rooms feel unintuitive, and there’s no option to rebind them - completionist achievements – while focusing on completing levels is rewarding, it could be more engaging if the game included creative achievements or hidden Easter eggs, which could enhance the gameplay and make the game more replayable Overall, I highly recommend Duckthing's Rolling Rooms. I went into it not expecting much, but it quickly became way more fun than I imagined. The charming visuals and engaging gameplay make it stand out as a genuinely fun game to play. Whether you're a fan of puzzle platformers or just looking for something to kill time, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

《Duckthing's Rolling Rooms》
Quack Quack Quack, great puzzle game.
Its a lot of fun, but it made my thinky organ hurt.
Really quite chill, been enjoying playing a few levels whenever I've been looking to kill a bit of time. Starts off easy but gets a bit more challenging as you progress to new zones and the game adds additional mechanics. The levels themselves are short (assuming you dont get stuck on a toughie) so it's really easy to jump in and just do 1 or 2 and then come back later for more. Can easily recommend :)
A simple puzzle platformer where you rotate rooms to guide a duck through 65 stages with evolving mechanics. Each level feels fresh and focused—a fun, engaging brain teaser for puzzle lovers
Fairly simple puzzle game. Other than the practically useless undo button, the QoL is good. I really appreciated how short it was, though it could have been a bit tougher. Found myself overthinking a few levels. Still an enjoyable and light experience.
Joa, kann man sich nicht beschweren.
