Drywall Eating Simulator

I feel kinda bad giving a negative review to a small scrappy indie team's debut, and if it were just for the mechanical problems I would've thumbs-up'd. But frankly the game just feels too defeatist. You're in an office with a bunch of AI-obsessed zombie employees, but all you can do is fetch coffee for them and make a presentation you don't wanna make. You break some walls, but no one cares. You discover an AI server room, but you can't destroy the AI servers. You try to exhibit some actual art, but whatever you were supposed to show off doesn't really exist/never gets shown. You encounter a bunch of evil CEOs and politicians, but you don't get to do anything to them. (Genuinely, if the gimmick of the game is breaking walls and eating drywall, why not give me some catharsis at the end by letting me break some bones and eat some faces?) And in the end, everything just gets reset. (Oh yeah and the aforementioned mechanical issues were quite bad. At the very beginning of the game, it told me to use the wrong buttons to do stuff; text boxes don't play on-screen; I got stuck in the presentation office and had to exit/re-enter; heck, I didn't even know I could eat the drywall after breaking the walls until the second level because whatever text box was supposed to educate me only flashed on screen for like a frame.) Some of the AI jokes were pretty good, and shoutouts to Jimbo and the other person who I didn't recognize and who's name I forgot already but I'm sure is a really cool/fun video game or other mascot, but idk the game just kinda felt like a waste of time overall.

Wish I enjoyed this, I liked the art but everything else was either tolerable or boring. The lack of visual settings to turn off the very annoying "CRT" filter really sours the experience a lot especially when you can't read the words that well with how distorted it sometimes gets. 2/10

honestly just more boring than I thought it would be. competently made game, just writing is only ok and eating wall to explore levels wasn't done that great

If your name is Kyle, you love drinking monster energy drinks, and punching dry wall then this game is for you! MAN I LOVE EATING DRYWALL

Was unironically a bit excited to play this but bugged and broke my progress by getting off the game after chapter 3. Also seems a bit pointless to eat the dry wall because you will just need to be angry to progress the game and break another wall anyways.

guys i no longer need to brush my teeth and use expensive products to make them white cause i can just eat drywall and it sticks onto my teeth and coats a protective layer on it

A bite-sized bit of enjoyment that doesn't wreck your teeth. An extremely accurate simulation of the modern world's stressors that doesn't bash you over the head with the message. Very satisfying.

It's definitely not what I expected, to be honest I wasn't sure what I did expect. It's fun, but just not for me. I would recommend it to others though.
