I don't like this game at all. People might skip the tutorials and might not know what weapon to put on their ships, but the thing is, it doesn't make any sense at all.

"Drift 4000" is a rather poorly made ripoff of Asteroids (copyright Atari 1980), although it's worth noting Atari haven't yet taken any legal action or sent a DMCA takedown to date. Regardless, ripping of other people's games isn't really okay, and this delivers very little that the old Atari 2600/arcade game doesn't. Sure, there's some bells and whistles, but the most important aspects, controls and visuals aren't much better at all, leading us to question what the point of all this is. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. That only happened once, and now nobody ever plays it. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

The tutorial needs to be redesigned. There is too much text and the UI is hard to understand. A better tutorial would show each component at a time with gameplay. I can see you put a lot of work into this but I couldn't understand it so I didn't play it.

Despite the simple arcade aspect to the game play, Its a blast.
