terrible

fine. let me show you a trick
It's fine. I really like the atmosphere. The monster design feels fresh (especially for Western audiences) and some of the creepiness has a freshness to it. But it doesn't feel cohesive in a way that I would like. While the map design is cool, you're never really sure what to do or what the character wants besides "escape." She's not a mute but she might as well be. When you "discover the secret" of any given thing, you're not really sure what you're discovering. Some of the mechanics are annoying and when ghosts move fast it's obnoxious to get your character to pull out their camera fast enough. The story makes very little sense in the end but I think that's a translation issue. The exploration is too slow and the background is interesting but not by a lot
