About
You find yourself locked in a small room illuminated only by the hazy glow of a single TV. Around you are a collection of tapes, trapped within steel coffins. A strange statue looms in the shadows. An unknown voice breaks the silence. It tells you to check the top of the VCR for a key. You pick it up. You use it to unlock one of the metallic cases. Inside is a tape. You pop the tape into the VCR. Can you survive what happens next?
The Dread X Collection 2 follows in the footsteps of the first Dread X Collection. This time we've gathered 12 incredible indie devs and given them just 10 days to realize all new visions of terror. The inspiration this time around was LOVECRAFTING. Does that mean all Lovecraft monsters? Does that mean a crafting game? Does it mean crafting love in a romantic visual novel? You'll just have to play to find out.
Step into a world of darkness and discover the secrets you didn't know were right beneath the surface. Get ready to explore 12 horror games made in 10 days that lead up to a narrative experience you didn't expect in Dread X Collection 2. Find the tapes and unlock the mystery inside.

Touched by an Outer God. Такий собі класичний арена-шутер, тільки в боді-горор стилістиці. Зі скрипом на серці ще можу згадати The Diving Bell. Ну і Solipsis, чисто по фану. Все інше – мимо.
I really like this. it's a fun concept. All the little puzzles in the house are simple and enjoyable so it doesn't feel like a hassle to unlock all the games. I like the range of games too. Their were a few types of games that I wasn't super familiar with playing but it was nice trying them. They're small experiences so even if you don't particularly enjoy one, you won't be there for too long.
A pretty fun little collection. A bit more complete than the first but instead of all the games just being alright, this one really has some high highs and some low lows. 12. The Toy Shop - Had some bits that were cool but was a bit drawn out and jank for what it was. 11. To The End of Days - Just wasn't a huge fan of this one, wish I had something a bit more constructive to say. 10. Another Late Night - Dug the narrative they were trying to do but there's just zero gameplay. I am a desktop simulator sucker tho, so that got it some bonus points. 9. The Diving Bell - Again, really like the atmosphere and narrative but the gameplay is walking back and forth and mashing your keyboard. 8. The Thing In The Lake - Starts to feel more like a chore than anything once you crack the gimmicks for each enemy. Love the art style though, and love World of Horror. 7. Undiscovered - Like the vibe but the camera actually made me nauseous. Fix that and we're golden. 6. Touched By An Outer God - Decent gameplay loop that I could see going way further with some more enemy types and varied maps. 5. Charlotte's Exile - Would for sure play a longer full release of this. Lost some points because one jump scare was so loud I thought I was going to lose my hearing forever. 4. Arcadletra - Throws some really good scares at you over and over again. Was surprised with just how much I ended up liking this one. 3. Solipsis - Incredibly short, but made by David Mullins. Need I say more? 2. Squirrel Stapler - Pretty unnerving game that keeps building on itself with new mechanics to make you forget that god is in fact coming. 1. Sucker For Love - I liked this one :)
Game Reviews
(minor spoilers ahead) Undiscovered: 7/10

Lots of good scenic ideas
Scenario is simple yet pretty nice to unfold
The Toy Shop: 3/10

Technical execution is very poor
Game design very basic
Saved by the story imo,
really liked the brain rewiring/alternate reality twist (though one part of the last dialogue felt pretty problematic? might be my poor english though)

Arcadletra: 5/10

Pretty neat horror experience
Some jumpscares felt cheap, but others worked well
PT corridor lacks execution clarity
The Diving Bell: 5/10

Ambiance is really cool, but nothing much happens in the end
End is pretty cheap
Squirrel Staplers: 7/10

Nice hunting game
Assumes its dark humor
Hunting gameplay is actually tense and interesting
Unfortunately, permanent refills removes a lot of the tension
Touched by an Outer God: 6/10

Well executed shooter
Upgrades are cool, combat is nice
Unfortunately, becomes very repetitive quickly
Solipsis: 9/10

Great ambiance
You can feel the descent into madness
No cheap jumpscares, the horror just works
Sucker for Love: 10/10

Best game across every collections. No questions asked.
Go play the final game and its sequel(s)
To the End of Days: 6/10

From the devs of Carthanc
Actually waaay better, very good technically
Simple shooter, yet efficient, it's fun, fluid, it's good
Story and voice acting are very cringe though,
and they reuse a lot of stuff from Carthanc (enemies, vegetation, even names), which feels weird because it genuinely was one of the worst games from the first collection

Charlotte's Exile: 8/10

Nice puzzle game, very "The Room" vibes (and The Room games are great!)
Another Late Night: 3/10

Nothing inherently BAD, but idk it just wasn't interesting
The reflexions aren't pushed enough and feel almost childish
(and if you select "Climate Change" in the first question, it softlocks :))

Way too much 4th wall breaking and private jokes to be enjoyable
Funnily enough, the best part of the game is the PC files
(the musics slap and the rat folder is the single best thing in the collection)

The thing in the lake: X/10

Audio (not the music, really the SFX) are atrocious
When you die, you restart the entire chapter
Got the achievement after closing it, so decided to drop it out of frustration
Can't rank it in good faith
Hub: 10/10

Best hub so far
Puzzles are simple but fun
Exploration is really cool
Actually feels like a indie horror game
From the first 4, it's clearly the best one, there's no straight up bad games and the hub is super cool!
