Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There's no more news, this game is ...something. Need/want to buy a brand new car? You have to fix almost everything, probably it fell of the truck during the delivery, who knows? Some parts and functions are stil locked. No more DEVs in this game. It had potential in the beginning but now is dead.
Blatant undisclosed use of generative AI for all pieces of art and voice work.
As a fan of the CMS series I figured I'd ignore the negative reviews and give it a shot. The complaints are valid, there's a bug with the contracts feature that prevents me from being able to accept them. I got it on sale and have enjoyed the progression and mechanic feature. Diagnosing and fixing your car in between stages in the 10min allotted adds a nice challenge.

I have combined over 350hours all the Car Mechanic Simulator games. 150+ hours alone in CMS21. I thought, I'll give this one a chance since it’s on such a steep discount during the 2026 Summer Sale. At first, it is kinda fun, but it gets so repetitive and the time waster mechanics are out of this world. Honestly, if you don’t have CMS21, buy that game instead (it’s even cheaper on sale) and if you have it already play more of it. Here are a few more extreme flaws. If you buy a brand new car, half of the parts are in bad condition. Which means, you have to fix the new car you just bought. You can’t really choose what type Rally you wanna drive. There are Bronze, Silver and Gold Leagues. But you can’t pick what you are looking for. The same for Asphalt or Gravel races or Wet and Dry races. Some races have two parts, others have three. You always get a set of 4 options which is a mix out of all the above. If you don’t like the offered options you leave your laptop to reset the offered races and repeat that until you get a race you want to “drive”. All races basically give you about the same money and fame (fame is basically useless after you reach Gold). The big difference is only how many parts a race has and that influences the reward. It doesn’t matter if it's a Bronze, Silver or Gold League race. A 2 part race always pays around 30k, and a 3 part race about 45k. And the game is buggy. I didn’t have a game breaking bug yet, but from what I’ve read they exist.
Wow. Amazing game. Really amazing. Just needs some small but very effective changes. Let's start with bugs like in the computer, sometimes the contracts get glitched on the screen and will stay there no matter what page you change to, it will always appear above everything. The contracts also have another glitch where 5 blank contracts will show up. Another bug is with the Painting, at least with Chrome Yellow, after applying, it shows nicely, but once we change screen to the Rally, Painting Room (or garage if painted in the painting room), Park, etc, the Chrome Yellow changes automatically to Metallic Yellow. MULTIPLAYER/CO-OP!!! The most needed thing. Not only would it be dope, but also, it would help a lot. The engine's internals are very time consuming, specially if its a cranckshaft problem since you have to take the whole engine apart. Having to retire once in a while is cool and realistic. But it's very time consuming to build the whole engine from 0, it becomes boring, so having help in the garage at least, would be very cool. Maybe an NPC system to help with that? Still, multiplayer/co-op would be way better. The assembly/disassembly camera is awful really. Having to constantly zoom-out due to system pre-defined zoom-in everytime you click on a car part is making me toxic. It literally is pissing me off. Having to zoom-in and zoom-out is part of the process, but having it internally defined to auto-zoom till the specific car part ocupies the whole screen EVERYTIME you click on a part, is just a cold-hearted thing to do to us players. You are automatically obligated to zoom-out to move the damn camera, otherwise you cant see the screws nor the whole piece itself. It's like you're making us look for microbes in the specific piece. We should at least be able to config the auto-zoom to our comfort. Either that, or put a darn comfortable FOV for disassembling/assembling parts. Last but not least, would be cool if we could have any kind of way to watch the race while we have nothing to do besides skipping the race. I'm sure many more improvements could be made, like every game out there. But these for me, would make the most difference and make the game much more enjoyable. For me, these are the most important so far. Edit: Don't listen to most of the bad reviews, althought some are correct, most of them lack logic behind it as they dont understand the reality of being on the backstage of a Rally team. Example: As you can notice I didnt complain about the 10 minute service, forcing you to retire (because this is reality, most of the times you wont have time to fix stuff and it will force you to retire, in reality is actually much worse, you can go bankrupt just because of not being able to finish races) I did complain however that it can become tedious/boring due to the many parts that tear down systematically (reality) specially engine's internals and therefore, having an extra hand outside of the rallies (in the garage) would be helpful. Many of the bad reviews complain of the 10 min service limit, in reality, the scale of the time-frame is much shorter if you take everything into account, 10 min here at the pace you move and change parts is way more than 2 people would've accomplished in an hour in reality. Many bad reviews refer to the constant need of changing break pads, suspension, A-arms, etc, well, welcome to a simplified version of reality, they never been in a Rally team, they only been behind a screen, it lacks logic behind their review, if you were ever in the backstage of a Rally team, you'd quickly find out how fast parts wear down. In reality, you're lucky if you only need to change 3-4 parts. Let's start with TIRES and BRAKES, you think they use the same set for 10 ENTIRE RALLIES?!? We wish. If they last 2 entire Rallies (depending on track conditions and driving style) it's too much already. Here everything (car parts) is dirt cheap and prices of a new rally car dont go far from reality. In reality, only a set of good tires costs you a kidney. Don't just go for all negative comments, question them, search for logic, and only then shall you make your conclusion. It's fair it's been a year since its release and people complain about lack of development, but let's remind ourselves that in their position, they only see the bad reviews, and if you were on their position (making dozens of games and constantly developing all of them) till what point would you go above and beyond if whatever you do people keep complaining of nonsense about everything and anything? Not excusing them, just saying we're all humans, and our nonsense bad reviews comes at a cost of sales, and if the game isnt selling enough, why bother when you can just make a new one? It's financially responsible and smart, they dont want to go bankrupt so they need to keep up with new launches otherwise their company gets forgotten and goes bankrupt. The world isnt as simple as people might think, there's many things that need to be taken into consideration.
This one is bit different mechanic simulator, you get to work with race cars. First, you have to buy car and prepare it for race. That includes installing suitable suspension and break parts. And matching set of tires too. When in garage, there is no hurry. You can take all the time you need to prepare car. Mechanic part turned out to work nicely. This game does not make you unscrew realistic amount of bolts and screws. At least on engine, maybe suspension and breaks are more realistic. But working on car feels satisfying. You can even buy tuning parts, and increase engine power. But it it rally car, so you have to stay within class limits. Luckily, you can install dynamometer in your garage. What happens next, really sets this game apart from others. You get to be car mechanic during racer. Rally driver takes car to rally stage or several, and returns it trashed every time. And you have to find all broken parts, and fix them in limited time. And this in my opinion is core of this game. And if feels absolutely great! Finishing races in high positions keep money rolling in. There are sponsor contracts, which give money on completion. And sometimes require painting car with logos, or installing some updated parts. between races, you can again freely work on car. Parts in poor condition are likely to break during race, so there is lot of work to do. Good diagnostic tools and pathway help a lot in this. You can buy new rally cars too, from different classes. This part could use some development. Cars you buy seem to be used, but no mileage or conditions is shown in car shop. Keeping car in top shape seems to be good for winning races. Increasing power shows in race times, but seems to be more just for fun. Default engines seems to be good enough to win any race. You can take car to test track and try it out. In races, only mechanic role is available. Recommended to anyone who wants to be rally mechanic!
