Dread of Laughter

I don't usually give negative reviews but this one needs to receive one. The "huge update" talks about a couple of things not present in the game, and i know that it changed a lot since the first release, but being fair, it looked more complete back then. For a game that relies too much in the brightness, at least make it adjustable or make things more visible. The removal of the map worsened that issue. I've tried to like this one and i've had fun running away of the killers, but it wasn't enough...

Bought this in the sale thought I would give it a shot. Avoid it. Even on sale, avoid it. i got stuck on a door and couldn't move, had to close a door and re-open, my game looks totally different to others on youtube. I was placed in front of a house or shed, then found a key and the house in front of it , the key didnt work, maybe it wasnt the right key I dont know. I found another house with an upstairs and found another key which said it was for the downstairs door, went downstairs, none of the doors worked... so whats the point in the 2 keys I found? Is there more than 1 enemy? The lady was running after me behind me, as I saw her in the darkness, I continued running forward, and somehow she got me from the front? how? Is there more than 1 enemy? Nah 2/10 terrible game couldnt be stuffed starting again for the 3rd time

Its still not 100% complete their are still issues with it I think the clue is in the title to this game its DREADful.

Dread of laughter has been remade, what for? There are still no options for Controls or Sound-settings. The menu in an earlier version looked better. The introducing for the controls ingame are shown too short at the beginning. I'll have to try it for my own. The Flashlight for example will open first by scrolling the mouse wheel. By the way, the game is much too dark and there is no brightness function or to turn on the v-sync. A little introducing of the story would have been nice: who am i and why am i walking through a dark night forest. And why are almost all main charakters in horror games wear shoes made of wood. And what about RUNNING. That is NOT Running, it is some quicker walking than crouching. The haunting Bride in the Beginning always kills me, because i cannot run away. Please fix this. The Game furthermore would be playing more smoothly if i could rebind my keyboard- and mouse controls. The Game could be nice with more fine-tuning in all.

[u][b]殺人鬼が徘徊する農場からの脱出[/b][/u] 2020年5月時点、大型アップデート後の感想。 おそらくは別ゲーレベルのアップデートになっている？ 日本語非対応。メモは英語だが、プレイ自体には必要なし。 一人称視点の探索型ホラーゲーム。 暗い農場の小屋で目覚めた主人公が、見つかると全力で追いかけてくる殺人鬼から隠れながら、 アイテムを集め脱出するゲーム。 一応、かくれんぼがメインのゲームではあるが、部屋が狭くやり過ごす場所が少ない、 殺人鬼がランダム移動かつ部屋の前で動かなくなることが多いなど、難易度としては厳しい。 プレイ時間が短めなので、運が良ければ突破できるのは救い。 それだけならいいのだが、野外の探索をしているとランダムで徘徊している斧を持った女に見つかる。 相手の足が速すぎて逃げ切れず、大体の場合ゲームオーバーになる。 ここは単純に運のみでゲームオーバーな要素であり、広く暗いマップを探索することを要求されるのも相まって辛い。 細かい点、例えば [list] [*]アイテムの取得判定がシビア、床にあるものはしゃがむ必要がある [*]ESCキーでメニューを開いても時間が止まっていそうで実は止まっていない [*]鍵は青く光っているが、一部のキーアイテム・スイッチは光らない。バルブで鍵を開けるシステムに気付かず詰まった [*]文字だけのエンディング [/list] などが気になり、素直に楽しみにくいゲームだと感じた。 一方で殺人鬼のデザインやステージの雰囲気作りは努力を感じられる。 遊べない・クリアできない状態ではないので、セール時に気になるのであれば購入を検討しても良いと思う。
