非常好的游戏,就是太着急发布,被跟风黑惨了,个人觉得比僵毁好很多
This game is great, if you feel nervous about the bad reviews-ignore them and try it for yourself. This game is like Project Zomboid but with more base building elements-oh-and it has other people too! The game is amazing, if you do not like it, you can always get a refund. But also, it did have a few small issues-like the auto save system sometimes being bad-but overall, the game is good. And I reccomend it.
Developed and published by Kioop, Dread Dawn delivers a compelling blend of open-world survival, zombie action, crafting, and base management within a city devastated by a mysterious viral outbreak. Rather than placing players in the role of an experienced soldier or hardened survivor, the game begins with an ordinary student who becomes trapped after missing the final evacuation during a government quarantine. This grounded premise immediately creates a feeling of vulnerability, making survival the central focus instead of power fantasy. From the moment players step into the infected city, they are encouraged to make difficult choices about where to explore, which resources to prioritize, and how much danger they are willing to face in pursuit of valuable supplies. The urban environment is impressively varied, featuring schools, hospitals, apartment complexes, prisons, shopping districts, and underground transportation systems that all contribute to a believable setting slowly consumed by chaos. The game's strongest quality is the freedom it gives players to shape their own survival story. Exploration is rarely a straightforward journey, as every district presents unique risks alongside opportunities to uncover better equipment, crafting materials, food, medicine, and hidden secrets. Supplies are never guaranteed, making each expedition feel meaningful instead of repetitive. The infected population is scattered throughout the city, forcing players to carefully evaluate whether direct confrontation is worth the cost or whether avoiding unnecessary battles is the smarter option. This constant balance between risk and reward creates an engaging gameplay loop that rewards preparation and observation far more than reckless aggression. Survival extends well beyond simply fighting zombies. Managing hunger, health, equipment durability, and limited inventory space becomes equally important as players search for the essentials needed to stay alive. Crafting plays a significant role by allowing scavenged materials to be transformed into weapons, tools, medical supplies, and defensive equipment that improve the odds of survival. Resource management is handled in a satisfying way because every collected item has potential value, encouraging players to think carefully before wasting limited materials. These interconnected systems give progression a natural pace, as each successful expedition strengthens the player's ability to survive future challenges without making the experience feel overly simplistic. A standout feature is the emphasis on rebuilding and defending the school that serves as the survivors' refuge. Instead of functioning as a passive safe zone, the campus gradually evolves into an operational headquarters where defenses can be strengthened, facilities expanded, and preparations made for increasingly dangerous zombie attacks. This base-building element adds welcome strategic depth, encouraging long-term planning alongside immediate survival. Managing limited resources while deciding which improvements deserve priority makes every upgrade feel worthwhile. The sense of protecting fellow survivors also gives the game emotional weight, reinforcing that survival depends on cooperation as much as individual skill. Combat offers enough variety to keep encounters entertaining throughout the adventure. Players can utilize improvised melee weapons, firearms, explosives, traps, and crafted equipment depending on the situation. Since ammunition and resources remain scarce, simply relying on powerful weapons is rarely sustainable, encouraging experimentation with different tactics. The presence of multiple zombie variants further prevents combat from becoming repetitive, as different enemies require players to adapt their strategies. While the combat mechanics may not possess the refinement of dedicated action games, they successfully support the survival-focused gameplay by ensuring that every encounter carries genuine consequences. Beyond the combat and survival mechanics, Dread Dawn incorporates character progression and interactions with other survivors that help create a stronger sense of community amid the apocalypse. Recruiting allies, completing objectives, and gradually unlocking better equipment provide a satisfying sense of advancement without undermining the game's overall challenge. Visually, the game captures the atmosphere of societal collapse through abandoned streets, ruined buildings, and environments filled with subtle environmental storytelling. The sound design complements these visuals with ambient effects that maintain tension during exploration while allowing quieter moments inside the safe zone to offer brief relief before another dangerous journey into the city. Despite its many strengths, Dread Dawn occasionally reveals the limitations of its ambitious scope. Some animations, interface elements, and technical aspects lack the polish found in larger-budget productions, and the sheer number of gameplay systems can sometimes create uneven pacing. Players looking for a tightly scripted narrative or cinematic storytelling may find the open-ended sandbox approach less focused than expected. Nevertheless, these shortcomings rarely overshadow the game's strengths, especially for players who enjoy creating their own stories through exploration, experimentation, and strategic survival. Dread Dawn succeeds in combining open-world exploration, zombie survival, crafting, base management, and RPG progression into a cohesive experience that feels both challenging and rewarding. Its richly designed city, meaningful survival mechanics, satisfying progression systems, and emphasis on long-term planning make it stand out among modern zombie survival titles. Although some rough edges remain, the game's ambition and engaging gameplay far outweigh its imperfections. For players who enjoy survival sandboxes where every decision matters and every expedition feels like a gamble, Dread Dawn is an experience well worth exploring. Rating: 7/10
